A big thanks to the awesome team at Midas Diamond Jewellers for sorting out my wife's ring. The craftsmanship is amazing and the ring looks truly stunning. You should see the smile on my wife's face. If you are anywhere in the Waikato I would definitely recommend them for they quality of workmanship and professional, responsive service.

I have been a customer here for 34 years... for all my own jewellery (some of it custom made) and for gifts I have bought for others. I wouldn't shop anywhere else - attentive and friendly service, good value, exceptional quality, and in my opinion Paul is the best jeweller in town. Highly, highly recommend.

A sales assistant told me incorrectly she could not return the old, worn-out clasp from my chain; she told me this cannnot be done unless agreed on beforehand and that she would charge me to return the piece. Two other people in the shop did resolve the problem and returned my clasp to me with no further charge. After I posted a negative review, Paul phoned me to apologise on behalf of his staff. He stated they do indeed return such pieces to owners and he will instigate a system to ensure this doesn't happen again. Thanks very much Paul for your apology and the care you took over my jewellery and my complaint.

I dropped in to enquire about having the clasp replaced on a gold bracelet. I was expecting to be quoted & given a date I could pick up the bracelet, but instead the friendly retail assistant picked out a clasp and had it attached within minutes. She even asked the jeweller to laser weld the join for added security and gave the item a clean. And a very reasonable price.

Midas worked with my now fiancé to create my custom engagement ring using diamonds from my mothers original ring set. What they came up with was phenomenal and I absolutely love my ring. The staff are extremely helpful and the jeweller is incredible at his job. We have come in multiple times since and they are happy to clean my ring and even other jewellery while we chat and have helped us with selecting our wedding bands too. Couldn’t recommend them enough. I get complimented on my ring everyday and it is so special and sentimental to me. Thank you Midas!

Had several pieces of my Mum’s jewelry remade or restyled to give to my children. The staff were absolutely amazing to speak with. Totally understood the sentimental attachment to each piece and listened patiently to my ideas. Paul to whom restyled and remade them, has done an outstanding job on each individual piece. Couldn’t be any happier and give high praise to all the team at Midas. I was unsure if I was doing the right thing, would they still look the same? But so very happy that i did. It’s heartwarming to see the pieces worn and treasured. Can’t thank the team enough for all that they have done. Forever grateful.

Very happy with the work done on my engagement ring. My husband purchased my engagement ring 48 years ago. Sadly I lost a diamond. Terrified at the prospect of who to trust with my ring to replace the diamond ?? I feel that the work was done with love.❤️

Had repairs completed and valuation for insurance purposes. While it took a while, I am very happy with the work done and recommend the quality. Delighted to be able to wear repaired jewellery again! Friendly, helpful staff.

The jeweller himself may be wonderful - sadly we never found out.The lady on the front desk is one of the rudest people I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I took my engagement ring and wedding band in to be resized and repaired - we did not return here to get the work done purely based on her appalling customer service.I would highly recommend going to Goldsmiths Gallery on Victoria Street instead - they're lovely!
