They sell a variety of board games and cards games like uno, cards against humanity and monopoly at an okay price, cards were a bit expensive but its not ridiculous amount, its convenience makes up for the price and they sell some good kids toys and books.

Popped in while on holiday and picked up Sally Roony's Normal people and Lolita for a good price. It was a neat little shop with a great variety of books when compared to the larger chains like whitcoulls.

I came here the day before Christmas Eve and the store owner helped me find gifts and brainstorm ideas. She left a great impression of hokitika, and I heavily recommend this shop for anyone who needs a book or fun game while they’re travelling NZ or just spending time in hokitika. Amazing!

'Bookshop' is too generous a term for this place. It's a newsagent, really. A perfectly adequate newsagent, but don't come in expecting a huge range of books.
