The camp is mostly permanent residents, not travelers. One of the permanent residents strongly abused us after our arrival. The manager laughed it off and asked if it was 'the black fella', when it was an older New Zealand European. The manager accused us of not informing them that we had pets (2 x dogs) with us, when in fact we booked in with two pets on Air BnB so that information was clearly available to them. We wouldn't stay again, it felt too down and out, folks living in caravans on the edge of Christchurch who were unwelcoming to travellers.

Very nice Holiday park. Great kitchen, all what you need really and for your laundry even washing pegs as bonus!I can imagine it is busy in a main season but we have unpowered sites all for ourselves.Two playgrounds, toddler pool. Amazing for kids.

Loved that the campsite is dog friendly! The idea of having a fenced dog site is genius and it was a good price. Seemed to be one of the only campsites in the campground that had shade as the rest of the campground is quite barren. Would be cool to see some more trees around the campground.Well equipped kitchen facilities. Clean and tidy too.We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back again :)

We stayed in the vintage caravan, which was nice and cosy with comfortable beds. The shared facilities were nice. Loved that it was a very short walk to the beach.

Great camp for close locality to Christchurch. Good fa ilities for cooking and I never waited to use the showers.if you have children and are not a good swimmer be very careful at the beach as can be quite tricky with hidden currents and drops away. Friendly staff with food caravan for takeaways.

Our beds where so comfortable and having arrived at 11pm we sure need a good nights sleep. The amenities where lovely and clean. Would stay again.

Leithfield Beach Holiday Park
Great little holiday park just a stroll through the woods from the beach. Amenities were clean and in good working order if not particularly modern. It doesn't seem to have a playground itself and the counsel one next door is a bit sub par, but there is a beach and a paddling pool very close to keep the kids occupied.
