Magic Sparks Kapiti

We absolutely love the care and love our daughter receives at Magic Sparks Kapiti. They have been so accommodating with anything we ask and our daughter just loves going. She has learnt so much since she started and we are so appreciative of the regular communication and updates we get. We cannot recommend them enough!!!

My child has been at Magic Sparks for 3 years now and I can not praise the teachers there enough. He comes home everyday updating me on his adventures and how he played with his friends and teachers. I find the online profile books great and the teachers are easy to talk to regarding everything and anything.I appreciate the whole team and how well they look after the kids. I highly recommend Magic Sparks to anyone looking for a daycare that fosters their kids every needs.

Majic sparks has been truly amazing, with wonderful engaging teachers, with both children and parents.Our son has allergies and these are closely addressed, they cook appropriate meals for him and he is kept safe during eating times.The teachers encourage independence, our son is almost 5 and with the help and support from the teachers is very ready for school.Our son is excited to be at Majic sparks and comes home with many stories to tell. Couldn't recommend highly enough

Edit 24/3/23: Happy to share the photo evidence for those who don't believe a childcare centre could mess up so badly - it is quite graphic to post publicly.My child attended Magic Sparks Kapiti from July 2022-December 2022. Would not recommend Magic Sparks Kapiti. I gave them too many chances to do their job right. I could write a novel but to sum it up my child was rough-handled, they forgot about her health plan and fed her food she's allergic to (thank God it's not a serious allergy anymore) and she got sunburnt more than once even after warning them about her fair skin she received SECOND DEGREE SUNBURN! To this day it still hasn't healed. A parents worst nightmare. I sincerely hope that they have made some serious improvements since we left.

When you entrust others to look after your child, also educate, build their personality and social skills it’s alway going to be a hard decision on what Daycare Centre to choose but Magic Sparks Kapiti is doing a wonderful job at helping her achieve all of the above. My daughter has been at the centre since she was 7.5 months old (she is almost 4) and every day she grows, her curiosity is encouraged by the teachers and even the centre manager. We love Magic Sparks Kapiti, and we are looking forward to them helping her get ready for school.If you are still reading this review keep an open mind that not all centres are for everyone, kids have different personalities and needs. I’ve read some of the negative reviews and I find these very hard to believe the extent of it, and that the centre didn’t do all they could to help overcome and achieve what the parents wanted.

Cannot recommend Magic Sparks enough! Our son has flourished in the care of the wonderful ECE’s, over the past 9 months they’ve helped him develop into a confident, curious and happy wee boy. There are always different and stimulating toys and activities for the kids and the ECE have a handle on each individual kids’ needs. Magic Sparks nursery room feels like a little family and the ECE work hard to make everyone feel welcome and loved. They also go above and beyond by providing photo updates to the parents from time to time.

Couldn't be more impressed with the team at Magic Sparks Kapiti. They take such good care of my child, feed him amazing food and really take the time to understand the different needs and personalities of each individual little person. Really appreciate everything they do for us!

Magic Sparks Kapiti is an amazing place for children. The staff are amazing, my children have been there for 8 months and their language has improved immensely! Teachers are attentive and caring, organise daily activities and communicate (above and beyond) with parents. I would not hesitate to recommend Jaydie & the team at Magic Sparks to anyone!

My daughter has been at Magic Sparks Kapiti since she was 11 months old and I returned to full time work back in March, 2023. She is thriving. It’s been amazing seeing her understanding of instructions, confidence, curiosity and social skills grow daily through exploration play and the different learning areas. She gets super excited every time we get out of the car, and can’t wait to get into the Poppy Room to see everyone.The whole team are wonderful, kind and caring towards each child and are supportive to each parent who walks through the door. Going back to work was an anxious and emotional time for me and they made the process a lot easier for me and never mind or feel interrupted about having a chat with me at drop off and pick up.Choosing a care provider for your little one(s) isn’t an easy process and it’s really good to take some time to think about what your family needs and wants. So definitely visit and chat to parents and teachers to help with that process. But we have been incredibly happy to have a place at Magic Sparks.

My son attended for 3 years and the first 1.5 in the nursery was wonderful for him. After he was moved to the preschool area, he became such a different, very anxious and fragile boy. He was afraid of 2 teachers, was roughed up daily by two particular children that had him crying every day for his last 2 months. So much to share that had us decide to find our boy a new care facility. I would never recommend a child attend this facility under current management and with the current ‘senior teachers’ in the preschool area. They are so moody, so grumpy and sharp with the children and no accountability. We reported them to ministry and other families have too with their concerns and failure in their duty of care for some of the attending children. Happy to report that our boy is back to his loving and energetic self at another ECE service.
