Coffee is good, got an oat flat white, terrific. However the food is average, big breakfast is basic, slice is tough, not as good as it's reputation.

Ordered big breakfast and vegetarian breakfast. We found the food boring, dry and mushrooms looked and tasted microwaved or boiled. Fortunately my coffee was good . Won’t be coming back.

Really enjoyed a hot coffee after being drenched while out for a mornings ride. Could sit outside in our wet clothes out of the rain.

The cafe is a nice space for relaxing, the artwork is colourful and the lighting creative. There are lots of spaces, inside and out to chill, and there is a good looking array of healthy eating options with lots of GF and DF versions available.This cafe has a very good rep for coffee, which we probably should have ordered instead of the berry smoothies, as unfortunately, they weren’t great. They lacked flavour, and were topped up by adding milk after the blending process to fill the takeaway cups, which only thinned down the smoothie even more. The savoury kumara and bacon bake was delicious, and the carrot and quinoa salad was pretty good, but lacked some punchy flavour. The cauliflower and bacon bomb had a gluey sort of texture, which was rather off putting.Overall, a fairly disappointing visit to a cafe with a solid standing. Hopefully a return visit sometime will prove to be better.

Service was good as was the quality of the breakfast. Unfortunately the experience was ruined by birds flying inside the restaurant and leaving droppings everywhere. The health authorities should investigate the bird issue here.

I frequent Bay Espresso for takeaway coffees and work meetings. The girls behind the counter are just so friendly and welcoming ❤ their service is excellent and they manage the busy periods with such ease as it is a very busy spot! Great coffee and awesome cabinet food. The menu is excellent too. Great spot for a quick catch up or for breakfast and lunch meets.

This is by far my favourite place to have food and coffee, the staff are always so welcoming and happy to assist with anything and everything and the wait time for coffee and food is next to nothing.
