Love this place! The food is always amazing. Great vegan and vegetarian options. The staff are lovely and you can tell they care a lot about their food. Highly recommend the Cheese Garlic Naan - one of the best around and big enough for two people.

Misleading business name - should be CURRY HELL - Worst Indian restaurant in New Zealand. Burnt tastless roti and Naan. Lamb biryani tasted like pudding with tomato sauce and the lamb was very dry (microwaved rice and lamb). They use cheap quality rice and they call it basmati rice but it is not. Complained to the lady owner and she brought the bag of rice to show us that it is basmati rice. She said maybe rice overcooked (it's not my problem). Overpriced menu for this horrible quality and quantity. Honestly I have probably eaten Indian curry and food at over 100 restaurants all over NZ but this was the WORST. Honest feedback. The owner needs to learn how to run a business and not just ripping off people. The roti was precooked and my mate even didn't finish it. Shut down this business ma'am or get someone else to run it

Yummy food. Took the kids between sports activities and we all loved the food. Kids had butter chicken and we had palak paneer and lamb Rogan Josh. Also had delicious garlic Naan breads. Its a little place. The staff are lovely and rembered us from the last time. They got us feed quickly so we could get on to the next sporting activitie with full happy bellies. Thanks and we will be back

May I share that I have, special occasion and randomly been eating from Curry Heaven for many years.I have always enjoyed the tastes of this place.Ambient, friendly, beyond local Newtown, and so deliciously enjoyable food.May I please ask that you come and enjoy to, like I have.Peace.

Went tonight as a group of 4 for dinner...mains, rice cheese garlic naans....food as always was really good...so tasty..service really good...will continue to eat here...please remember it's byo.

Great portions, great service, great foodWe received a friendly welcome and very fast service. The owner himself came out to check on us during our meal. The space is intimate and the food.. Omg, we left full to the brim with delicious perfectly spiced dishes.Would definitely recommend for anyone who has dietary requirements as they are labeled on the menu.

Omg this place is soooo goood!Nice Service, awesome food and perfect price! We found out they have lunch special deal which is super duper cheap and bunch of foooood!You can get curry, nan and rice for only $11

My kids, grandchildren and I enjoyed a tasty meal here tonight. The Lamb Jalfrezi was the best I have ever tasted and the Goat Special was also delightful. This small restaurant could easily be overlooked but the simplicity of it adds to the charm. The service was friendly and welcoming. They do not have a liscence so bring your own, or just go for a really good curry and go out for drink later!!

Me and my partner went for dinner a few days ago, and this is my absolute favourite spot. Not only is the food impecable and you can tell they care about it, it's a small venue and the staff were friendly and accommodating we felt welcomed as soon as we walked in! The recommendations were perfect and we will definitely be back :)

This might look like a tiny restaurant, but it has the most fabulous food and great atmosphere. We love it here. Their specialty curries are absolutely delicious. The gorgeous lady in charge is always charming and helpful. Support this business - it's part of the heart of Newtown and contributes to the vibrancy of this dynamic part of town. We make the 1 hour trip from where we live across town to this restaurant, and then shop at the second hand bookstores and buy vegetables at cheapest greengrocer in Wellington. Curry Heaven is simply the best!
