Was a decent croissant, but shame it was microwaved instead of toasted (we came right on closing though so it’s understandable). Scone was average. Was great to be able to resupply in a handy location.Main gripe is the opening hours. Surely weekends are busy enough to justify opening later than 2pm? Was looking forward to some hot food, but the kitchen was closed. On the flip side, we arrived after closing and they still microwaved us something from the cabinet and sold us some wine, so we are grateful for that!

Came a little bit past 2pm and didn't realised they closed that early. We were cycling through. They served us which I was greatful for. I had a ham & cheese croissant which was nice. While we ate outside I must have seen 12 cars stop to drop in and realise that they are closed.

Really nice small scale cafe. A space where you can have a coffee, some food or a snack on the way. Some groceries some beer, soft drinks, news paper too are available. A small post shop where u can shop envelopes etc. Nice calm and quiet cafe by the main road. Not much shops or cafes around the little township too. Nice experience.

a nice small town one-stop shop. Good for a quick bite to eat or coffee and buying some ice cream or basic groceries. they could add some healthier food options on the menu, though.

The Lonely Stag Cafe & Store
Great place to stop for refreshments. They are well stocked and provide a good range of freshly cooked or cabinet food. Log burner in dining area indoors, spacious clean and comfortable settings. Outdoor tables on deck which on a sunny day is a magical spot to enjoy your coffee and meal. Friendly staff and they are dog friendly. Happy to recommend.
