The Marae hidden in a back section is a rough set if buildings with no Maori style but a new open air theatre is under way and the hearts of the people are very warm

Te Mahurehure Marae, It's like discovering for the first time a freshwater spring, this Marare is known by all Iwi, dignitaries and movers and shakers of our society but most of all, the Local people.John and Christine Panapa who are the face and personality of Te Mahurehure Marae have  continued the vision with housing for our kaumatua as well as being instrumental and at the forefront with the creation of a  iconic World Class Conference Center, depicting the story of Maui which is sculpted into the actual conference center. Congratulations !!

This Marae has grown and developed into an incredible facility. Tracey and Christine have done a fantastic job with it. The catering and kitchens are outstanding. The hall and stage are brilliant. With the new Kupe education center and landscaping this Marae is going from strength to strength.
