Long Hilly Walking Track
Beautiful walk through regeneraring bush. Abundant birdsong, and although it was raining quite steadily we didn't get too wet. Awesome to experience the sheer bloody mindedness of the early gold miners, both Chinese and European. A must do when in the area.Fairly well-maintained track albeit muddy, and a tree is down across the path. Loved it.

Long Hilly Walking Track
Nice walk through thick New Zealand bush. However, the walk doesn't take 2h 15 minutes as indicated. We only needed 45 minutes to complete the loop :)

Good walk although a bit boggy in places, also the timing on the walk is way off, it's about an hour and a half for the loop track not over 2 hours at all, and we had a 3 year old with us who walked the whole track without being picked up

Long Hilly Walking Track
Lovely little track, very well maintained, easy walking. A little bit of hill but much of it is flat, and most of the surface is hard packed gravel, but there are enough rocks and roots poking through that I would favor boots over jandles. Informative sign boards at intervals and it is fascinating to see the races and marvel at the engineering achieved with just a pick and shovel. The whole thing is under 3km and can be completed in under an hour but allow more time to dawdle enjoy the beautiful woodlands and historic background.

Always a great walk. Info panels along the way.A bit wet, and muddy in a few places, as it's been raining for a few days.
