We both had roast of the day which was pork. Great meal with all the trimmings. Very happy we stopped.

Great kiwiana stopover!.A blast from the past. Lovely new owners, keen to please. Its been closed a while I hear, only reopened in July.. Garden bar, classic bar with darts etc, simple cafe, & accommodation too I believe. watch the world go by. Quart bottles of beer, chilled glasses. Local that is obviously enjoyed by the farming community. Mighty Rangitiki is only 3 km across the railwayline. If you want to experience traditional New Zealand, this is worth a stop. Highly enjoyed our stop. November 27th 2019

Driving for five straight hours and happened upon this place. Entered the restaurant and waited several minutes with no lights on for service. No one showed, thus decided to walk around to find the toilet. Only door that was opened was to the bed part of the bed and breakfast". I entered to look for a staff member or a toilet. Fantastic lady & her son Clint runs this place a good hot cuppa & food was very welcome. Clint was more than able to sort out a problem with our camper van so grateful we are.

Nice place for to have a short break during a long trip. Had a well tasted Fishburger....was really good. Enjoy this place......
