My experience in dealing with The Rent Shop has been nothing but an absolute pleasure. Emily Britz has been extremely helpful and pleasant and has provided an exceptional level of service. Whilst I was still in SA, she did everything she possibly could to asist and make my move to NZ most comfortable and convenient. Then when I arrived and still till today, she is so obliging, kind and helpful. All documentation was done perfectly and speedily, and my move into my new rental home was smooth and pleasant. My parents trusted The Rent Shop to manage two of our properties. One of the properties is in horrible horrible condition. I can’t believe how disgusting the house is. Shaadhi was originally in charge of this property (she was amazing) but for the last three to four years the manager has been someone else and the state we have received it back is absolutely revolting. The carpet through out the entire house is ruined, window sills damaged, fly poo and stains all over the walls, new curtains ruined by mould, the house reeks etc. I have photos of how we have received the house to compare them to how we gave the house to the tenants. I’m very disappointed with the property manager, I won’t name him. I recommend doing your own property checks quarterly, if you can, to ensure it is being managed properly. We will be reviewing the state of our second property in the area.
