Went to wang mart, just so you know i am not asian, simply a brown polynesian person for context, the man at the front register was so indirectly rude to me. The lady at the back where i paid for my vegetables and kimchi was alright but it seems she didnt wanna directly give me back my change in my hand and jus threw it on the counter. Same as the man in the front register. Hes only ever nice to koreans and white ppl which i am not surprised about. No positive or welcoming vibes from the place even tho the products sold there are amazing. Just rude unwelcoking staff who discriminate and do not relay the same kindness back to other customers of other races. They need to get their heads out of the 70s and start acting according to the times. Do better or hire more younger people and get replaced.

Really rude staff who look down on other Asians who aren't Korean. Giving Koreans such a bad reputation with their superiority complex. So shameful.

Was planning to go there to buy Korean ingredients but I guess not after reading the racism that is being displayed at the store is appalling. I love Korean food and no stranger to their cuisine, just because I am not Korean nor Caucaian, am Fiji Indian I might go else where ! If they see me coming, they might close shop.

Expect really bad service and to be discriminated against if you look Chinese. The shopkeepers seem to really hate Chinese people. One instance from today showcased appalling behaviour from the male shopkeeper with glasses. When I went to the checkout to pay, I placed items on the counter as you normally do. The man proceeded to throw my groceries to the side. He then slammed his hand on the counter and said put here". There was no sign to say I needed to delegate the groceries to one area of the counter only. I've noticed this kind of treatment directed more towards people who looked Chinese. They'd be friendly towards those who looked Korean or Caucasian

Really rude staff, the korean man who works at the cashier is really rude and looks down on other asians who are not korean.

I don't normally post reviews but after reading the recent bad reviews. I feel for those being treated unfairly and this is solely based on my opinion and experience. I just want to put out something positive about the Wang Mart Flat Blush.My family and I have been going to this Korean mart for a very very long time. We are a Chinese family who have been exposed to alot of Korean goodies and snacks growing up. The staff there have been nothing but nice and friendly.It's such a convenient supermarket with other smaller korean stores inside, like the Ajummas who sells their delicious gimbap and side dishes etc. The owner who sells lovely bake goods and we've enjoyed their cakes and breads for special occasions. The meat shop offers high quality meat for a nice family BBQ gathering.I know I can't speak for all, but I think they deserve a second chance.

My children like coming because they sell international treats they see on TikTok and want to try. A bit pricey on snacks but worth it, a treat now and then...
