A great place to talk to someone with really great knowledge who can help you find the right thing for your needs. A perfect place to pick up a present (there are some beautiful pocket knives and vintage knives at the lower end of the budget, as well as some really incredible chefs knives). I also finally wrapped up my long search for a good chopping/cutting board by finding a great quality one here. Japanese steel and native NZ handles, what more could you want!

Blair is an absolute ledgend when it comes to knives and sharpening. I buy all my knives from this guy 7 in total now. And get them sharpened when I'm back in NZ. His knowledge is unsurpassed and there is nothing he doesn't know about Japanese knives. Can't wait to visit and get some new knives. The best knife sharpener in NZ.

My wife and I came in to get our sg2 knives sharpened. Blair is very passionate and knowledgeable about the sharpening and crafting of Japanese knives, has a good collection for sale on site, and done a fantastic job for us at a reasonable price. We will certainly be back.Thanks Blair.
