Came to see the 3pm Magic show with my daughter, was far more entertaining than I had anticipated. The theatre itself was delightful, very clean & comfortable.

Beautiful, old theatre. I have been here for various things over the years. Just enough upgrades to make it feel slightly modern without losing too much of its historical charm. I didn't cry at the ballet, though. It's still a fantastic venue for shows!

We had a lovely night out for two days attending comedy shows. The staff were friendly and very knowledgeable about the history of the theatre. The seats were comfortable even though the elbow space was narrow. They did a good job restoring the theatre after the earthquake. Love the bathroom, and the decor was nice.

Best theatre I've ever been in so far. Love the fact it's the only Edwardian style theatre left in NZ, it's what makes it so unique. Deserves the 5 stars!

Isaac is the iconic highlight of the city! Both exterior and interior are unique Edwardian style, rebuild completely after earthquake. The atmosphere inside is just great with close to the stage creating unique bond between performers and spectators. We have visited multiple times for various events, concerts and plays and it never disappoints. Staff is super helpful and friendly offering fantastic service from the moment you step through the doors. Only improvement will be if seats were more comfortable and the design of seats is not the best as if someone tall sits in front of you it will block the view, but you can still manage for 2 hours.

Beautiful theatre!!! Been there many times over the past 35 years including performing there as a child. I would recommend purchasing tickets earl to ensure a seat close to the stage. The seats up high can make it difficult to see the stage well.

Absolutely gorgeous place, Saw Steveo live here a few weeks ago. The artwork and decor are honestly fabulous, also super friendly staff helped me find my way around when I asked them questions.

What a beautiful theatre and the staff were lovely. What let it down completely was the audio. I caught about two words in five. We were seated in Row A seats 16 through 19 and the proximity of the speaker which had a slight delay distorted the sound so badly. When Ed Byrne slowed down and speak in a normal sound level I could make it out, but when he spoke quickly it was an unintelligible gabble. This is the second time this has happened to us in Row A. I thought that was a fluke and as it was a couple of years ago, it did not put me off booking tickets so close to the front again. We have sat upstairs for other events and had no such sound issue. What a waste of money. I nearly walked out, but as it was a comedian, I did not want any attention.
