Fabulous day out opportunity for yourself and your family take the Vintage train ride from Kawakawa train station. Check departure times on their website as they don't run every day. Great fun for the kids.

Still one of the best full sized tourist railway attractions in New Zealand. The local guide has plenty of dad jokes and deep knowledge of the line and local community.

One of my favorite NZ cafe's. Great food. Great atmosphere. Love watching people getting on for and disembarking from their train ride. A real NZ gem.

The service is great, and great prices to ride trains for. The engines are kept running, no matter the price, and I love that about them. If you’re lucky, you can even get to see inside the workshops, where you can see the main engine, Gabriel. The trip was a great 45 minutes and learned a lot of history. The cafe food was great, and the service was quick. Recommend it a lot!

Lovely attraction go for a ride on the old train line run by Lovely people and see some of Newzealand beautiful countryside also awesome cafe at the train station
