Maoribank Swimming hole
Lovely safe swimming hole formed in a bend in the Hutt River, just below the Mangaroa Intersection Traffic Lights in Totara Park, Upper Hutt. Ideal for all the family on a hot day. Clean, deep, fresh water. There are a number of things to jump off, for those who are a bit more adventurous. Easily accessed with a carpark nearby. There is no better place to be when it's 30°C plus.

Love this swimming hole.i must advise it’s not good for small children.the drop is near the shore and the rapid can be fast.must be a confident strong swimmer

In summer it's a lovely place. However, do avoid after heavy rainfall; I did smell sewage.
