Food was good. Service was under par. We had a group of 13 and the main server was great but it was a pity most of the other floor staff stood around staring out the window or doing very little of anything. Our mains came out before our entree dishes had been cleared so there was no room to put some of the mains down. Great food let down by the service. Mussels, prawns, scallops and halloumi top picks from our group

We enjoyed our dinner. Ribs were great. Mussels were delicious but my steak was just overcooked.

I have just gotten home from your restaurant and didn’t have the best time.The food was delicious all around except my steak was still very undercooked when I asked for medium well, when I told our server (the manager on the night) that I had asked for medium well she took off to the kitchen without saying a word. I also asked for both salad and chips and a coleslaw came out with a tomato cut into four on top, I would have rather had nothing. I ended up asking to get my steak takeaway because my table was all finished and paying, it was taking too long. I have now gotten home and my steak is uneatable, chewy and burnt.The whole night her service was bad. She never once smiled was very short and blunt. When we asked questions she was also unhappy to answer. When placing our dishes she would pass the over or leave them at the end of the table. Never once walked around the table to correctly serve. She never checked if our meals were alright and we had to wave our hand for service or go up in the end when waiting for too long. When I complained and asked to speak to the owner she said she has had a busy night, we were the only table at the time of being served. I understand waitressing can be tiring and stressful but a few words and a smile goes a long way.

I can imagine how lovely it is dining here on a sunny day with all the windows open. I visited on a rather wet day.I had a steak which was okay - quite a bit more done than what I would prefer a medium-rare to be. But the dauphinoise was definitely undercooked. Instead of creamy scoops of soft and multilayered potatoes that melt in your mouth, each slice had a bit of a bite to it. I was rather disappointed.

Lovely atmosphere. Staff were attentive and friendly(especially Rajvinder)meals were presented well and portion size was adequate. Both our entrees were tasty and good size. Mains of steak & chips were cooked as requested. Dessert- Brulee perfect. Would definitely recommend. Surcharge applied on public holiday.

I was in Tāupo and craving a burger. Unfortunately I have an allergy to gluten (silly, I know) and finding a good gluten free burger can be difficult. Walking along the waterside, I found this restaurant appropriately titled.The service was very quick, and the waitresses seemed very attentive. The gluten free burger was very tasty and had a good contrast of flavors.I would definitely eat here again if I am in Tāupo. Fantastic all round!
