Smartbox Storage

I was looking to pack up my belongings for 6 months while I house sat a friends place and after reseraching 3-4 different places, Smartbox was by far the cheapest and most convenient option for me. It is an incredibly easy system to use and I love that I didn't have to be there for collection the next day. By bringing the storage unit to my location I save on transport costs and meant I could package up my belongings in between rain showers (thank you Auckland weather!) instead of having to move in the rain because I only have a small window of time to move.I would definitely recommend Smartbox, they were so easy to use and all of the staff I spoke to were incredibly friendly and helpful.

We used Smartbox when we were selling our house. We used two of their boxes. The process was easy and the staff informative. The boxes arrived on time and when one stayed with a bit longer than expected they checked with us first. We then got caught by lockdown and again they communicated well and contacted us as soon as they could. Yesterday I asked them two organize the return the two boxes at a new location on two different days. I was nicely surprised when I got a quick response confirming the timetable and they got the details right. I think the charges are reasonable. Be sure to budget the charge to get your box back.

I contacted them initially with very little notice to see if they could bring a box, they were very busy but still managed to find me an appropriate time slot. Then my new house for redelivery has a long and not practical driveway with sharp turn, Nigel (doing the redelivery) went the extra mile to get the trailer through close to my house.I am so grateful for such an amazing customer service. Oh, and it's cheap too !

I have used Smartbox for over 2 years now. It seemed like a great idea at the time as I thought it would only be for a few weeks. It's not cheap. But for the price, on a temporary basis, with the benefit of being already packed and ready to go to the next destination, it's reasonable.The down sides, for me were;- cost, it's high compared to other forms of storage,- accessibility, you have to ring 24 hours beforehand so that they can move your pallet box to the access area,- accessibility, you can't contact them for access on Sunday as they are not there,- customer service, I wasn't very satisfied with their customer service, I found the admin staff to be rather short, abrupt, impatient.Hindsight is definitely 20/20 vision. If I were to do it again, I'd have gone with something else.

Smartbox is a great convenient storage service. They drop off your box and come pick it up the next day so you don’t have to worry about hiring a moving truck. Their customer service is great as well. Janelle was helpful in arranging my box re-delivery appointment. Nigel is a great driver who can handle most crazy hard to maneuver driveways.
