My card was stolen and cancelled by my bank this morning. I had a delivery order scheduled this afternoon so I went straight to NW to advise them and ask if I could pick up instead.The man in charge of online orders proceeded to lecture me for several minutes in front of the check-out that I should have picked up their multiple calls about the order (of which I have no record of receiving). He was very skeptical that I did not receive the calls and insisted on taking my number down. He stated several times that I inconvenienced the store by changing to pick up and that I would be charged a collect fee. I understood this but he repeated himself several times. He said that I should have had my card working for NW. Well I am very sorry that I did not organise to have my card stolen on a different day (!)I explained several times that it was out of my control but he did not want to hear it. Very disappointing service when I was already having a stressful day. Customers should not be told off like they are children. On top of that my order was brought out with many items missing and I had to go back in to locate them myself. Will not return here again after many years of patronage.

A lot of out of stock products. Complete ranges missing. 2 big boxes of overripe avocados at $5.49. If they'd sold these off at, say, $2 each about two days ago they'd save the food wastage and write-off cost. Poor stockmanagement

So busy. The entire shopping centre is like in a Xmas eve frenzie on an everyday Sat. No shade for parking. New world was fine. Has all the stuff. Nice staff.

Power hungry, self pay check out assistant. Rudest person, and totally heartless for a tapped out mom trying to feed my children healthy options. She humiliated me in a full que, yelling for assistance in fetching a new apple - because my daughter had a bite out of it. Afraid also not my first encounter with her. Choose the last face you see wisely, New World, this one lady has made me vow to never go back again.

Extremely disappointed about the food safety issue and customer service of New World Albany. I recently report a food safety issue regarding the products to the store I ordered online, which were NZ Premium Beef Mince and Beef Eye Fillet Piece. The mince smells bad, even the package was full of air due to potential deterioration and the color went dark - the package day was the day they delivered. The fillet tastes sour and not fresh at all after cooking.The Albany New World called me three times and the problems are still there. The store manager called me this morning (27 Feb) and gave me a very insolent attitude. He asked me where is the meat and feels like he believe that 'their product' did not have any problem. He doubt that I did something wrong to the product and said an investigation was needed.I had a similar experience with the countdown and they just simply apologize and refund. However, in New World Albany, I got the WORST experience of online shopping and still no refund. The manager did not respond to my refund request over the phone but continuously doubt I made the wrong complaint. I throw the fillet away after cooking but still store the mince in my fridge. I am super DISAPPOINT about the store, especially the manager. The manager needs to apologize to me via email and of course, a full refund is needed. Appreciate. Jacky

I loathe the new fridges. I have no idea what management must have been thinking. Not only are they inconvenient but they are also a health hazard - 100s of people a day grasping hold of the same handle. Not a smart move imo.

I went to buy my groceries to this New world, and I saw one of my favorite snacks for 2.69 a bag, I felt that was a god deal and I grabbed them all, and when I was paying in the machine the machine charged me 3.69 per bag, I told the staff and they didn’t care, they keep insisting it is because I used an Airpoints card not the new world card and after a lot of back and forth I finish buying it for 3.69 as I was with my baby and didn’t want to be there fighting, but now I see the picture and 2.69 is the regular price! There was NO promotion, I got scam by this New world and their false marketing!

I picked up a click and collect order on Monday 19/06. I went to cook with the chicken on Wednesday 21/06, the chicken was grey and stank like rotting meat, the expiry date was 21/06. It should not already be rotting by the expiry date. Especially since I bought it 2 days prior. I checked the beef mince as well, expiry date of 22/06 and the mince was brown/grey and stank too. This is not good enough New World. I will not be doing click and collect or getting meat from you again.

I have been a loyal customer of this supermarket for a long time now, mainly because of its proximity to my house and the convenience it offers. However, I am finding the new fridge system incredibly frustrating and inconvenient.The customers tend to stand in front of the doors, peering in, before finally opening the doors, which makes it difficult for me to access the items I need quickly. Instead of just nipping past them and grabbing what I need, I am now forced to wait in line to get into the cabinets, which is wasting my time and making my shopping experience very unpleasant.In fact, the last two times I have visited the store, I have had to bypass certain items as I had a time limit before collecting my daughter from sports. This means I have had to go to another store to get what I needed, which is not something I want to do regularly.I urge the supermarket to reconsider its new fridge system and go back to the old one, which was much more convenient and customer-friendly. I believe this will not only improve the shopping experience for me, but for all customers who frequent the store.

Price labels are misleading/ club price confusion. First time I found it like 4 years ago. Why?? Misleading labels r making more profits or what ? Same now. So disappointed. I’m not going go to that branch again.
