Absolute legends. Threw a bearing on our driveshaft while towing our caravan. Tried calling almost every service centre in Greymouth and nobody would fit us in. Not only did they fix the issue on the same day, they provided a loan vehicle while they fixed our car. Great service.

Great guy ! Had no problems with fitting me in when my fresh water tank fell out " on the road in Christchurch. Totally recommend him. Fantastic service ! I will go back for some other small jobs I need fixed on my motorhome for sure ! Thanks heaps Doug !"

We had mechanical issues while on a driving holiday. Stopped in here after trying several shops around who were too busy to have a look. Doug told us he too was busy and that he did not specialize in our car’s make. Regardless, he stopped what he was doing and gave us a hand. While the problem ultimately wasn’t fixed, the owner is honest, friendly, and charges fairly. I would strongly recommend using this mechanic if you’re in need.

Turned up without a booking when travelling in our van with an issue with our driver’s windshield wiper. Doug was incredibly helpful and managed to squeeze us in despite being super busy in the run up to Christmas. Problem all sorted (even though it wasn’t a straightforward fix) and we were back underway in a couple of hours. Really friendly and went the extra mile to help us out when other garages turned us away. Thank you!

Recently while on our way to Chistchurch via Greymouth, I experienced some mechanical problems with our motor home.Pleased to say we met some lovely coasters in their respective fields, firstly the friendly Highway Patrolman, who along with the very pleasant tow truck operator towed us to the workshop of Doug Thomsom mechanical in Blaketown for repairs.I cant speak highly enough of Doug and his staff in the way in which he conducted his business, keeping me inform on progress.I would certainly recommend Doug Thomson mechanical for any repairs you may need doing, thank you very much Doug

Had a problem with electric brakes on caravan not working correctly. Even though they were busy Doug Thomson Mechanical fitted me in when no-one else could. Kaleb diagnosed and fixed the problem allowing us to safely continue our journey and at a very reasonable rate.Highly recommend.
