Actifun Riding Stables

My son and I had a great time having our first ever horse riding lesson. Would ten out of ten recommend to others and I mysef would probably visit again if I were traveling that way (from Wellington).

The lady owning the business knows her stuff but she is terrible with children! She told my kids off so much that they were in tears afterwards :( would not recommend her for kids at all!

Actifun is an awesome place to ride horses!! My 4yo daughter and I have both loved having regular lessons and I really enjoy the trekking trips too. There are so many choices with both individual or group lessons and treks to the beach or closer to the riding school. Moira is very flexible and fits in with your schedule. There are so many horses to ride, depending on your age and ability, making it a safe and enjoyable place to ride.

Fantastic venue for our 5 year olds birthday. Pony rides were very welcomed and enjoyed, by the children.

Well what can I say, I'm a newbie. What I have experienced is an extremely supportive and encouraging environment for my journey to being a competent equestrian. Moira, my instructor knows what I need to learn and gives me the opportunities to maximise my progress. I am a superannuatant beginner with mobility issues but after each session I leave reluctantly and tired, but thrilled knowing my comfort zone is rapidly chewing into my terror zone. Her facilities, yards, stables, arenas, and choices of horses mean every individual or group can be matched to the needs, Actifun has all the riding and safety apparel necessary for those without the gear. I for one, am now living, experiencing, and progressing through my dream that was for over 70 years, so distant I couldn't even call it a pipe dream.There is now a fantastic new mounting platform, which has easy steps with handrails that makes it a doddle for elderly and disabled to easily mount and dismount from any horse or pony.

Very welcoming first experience will definitely come back! My son is 9 years old and he had a great experience, would like to thank Moira for a fantastic lesson! Highly recommend :)
