In mid-April 2022, we decided to go to Africa (out the blue) after reading an article about Rwanda. We figured that the world was coming out of lockdown and it would be a great time to travel again. We were surprised that many of the African nations had high vaccination rates and stringent disease control measures in place so we started doing some research.African Safaris came up on a Google search. We met Claire by zoom and we started to expand on our itinerary. Claire had such great ideas and has brilliant contacts in Africa. In just 4 months we were booked and on our way. We had 35 days in Africa and loved every minute of it.We hiked to see the Gorillas in Rwanda, cycled two days on the challenging Congo Nile Trail, saw Rhino in Kenya, explored Vic Falls, absolutely loved the dunes in Namibia and got up close and personal with the animals in Botswana.We opted to use the small plane network that operates throughout this part of Africa – it saved so much time and meant we didn’t have to endure sitting for hours travelling over very bumpy roads on this large continent. It was such a treat and stress free to fly to each camp’s local airstrip and be picked up by a local guide.In our wildest dreams we never imagined we would experience the people on a personal level and get so close to the wildlife. There was no time that we felt unsafe and everyday we were made to feel very welcome.What a truly wonderful trip and how lucky were we to find Claire and the wider team that make the African Safari experience so special.We can recommend a trip to Africa in a heartbeat and totally endorse African Safaris!

Third trip that Claire has arranged this one only in Botswana. As always all arrangements were done and basically all I had to do was arrive at the airport. All the camps were exceptional and I would not have a problem booking again with Claire and would recommend her to anyone thinking of going on a safari.

Claire organised the most amazing safari trip for our family to Kenya and Tanzania. There were nine of us travelling from New Zealand ranging in age from 7 to 75 years old. Everything went so smoothly, and given that we required assistance for my father-in-law who was using a wheelchair, this was no mean feat!The accommodations that Claire organised were totally above our expectations and were 5-star all the way. It was a trip of a lifetime and I thank Claire for her amazing skills and would highly recommend her for anyone looking for any type of trip to Africa, she really knows her stuff.

Claire did an amazing job organizing our stress free safari in Botswana which was truly a trip we will never forget. The accommodation was first class, the staff so friendly and couldn't do enough for you to make you feel very spoiled. Seeing the animals in their own environment was at times quite emotional and having sun-downers watching the majestic African sun set will stay with us forever. Always fantastic service from Claire. I have booked 2 trips now using Claire’s services. One through Botswana and another through Kenya. I have found her trips to always be well organised through very reputable companies and never had any problems. Her price point was always on target for my budget and she will be open and honest about what you can expect for the money and area you are travelling. My sister and I had the most amazing Kenya safari experience organised by African Safaris. Tracy knew exactly what we wanted and delivered - choosing conservancies to ensure we had a unique experience with a few like minded others, avoiding the over crowded tourist spots. Everything was perfectly organised and planned, with a range of accommodations from the more adventurous to luxurious to allow us to experience the best of Kenya. If you are going to Africa you must use African Safaris as the specialist in this area!

We have just completed 16 fabulous days of safari in Tanzania and Kenya. The safari companies that African Safaris use there gave us a wonderful experience that exceeded our expectations in what we saw, where we stayed and what we ate. We went for the animals but we also really enjoyed the fellow travellers, and experiencing Africa and its people.Tracy did a very careful and professional job ensuring we were fully prepared for the trip and that everything worked smoothly and seamlessly

We had an amazing 2 weeks in Kenya at 4 different camps. We saw so much wildlife but in particular large cats. The conservancy model made us feel that everyone was benefitting from our tourism from the local people to the camp owners and of course the flora and fauna. Could not recommend more highly. An African Safari had long been a dream of mine but as a nervous solo traveller I put it off . However after speaking to Claire I was confident in her knowledge of Africa, her patience and listening skills and ability to pick up on my comfort levels to give it a go. Going alone on several mix and match" individual tours petrified me.Well it was the most amazing trip with my expectations far exceeded. Everything Claire said was correct
