Hidden Gem Japanese restaursnt. We normally take away but dine in this time. presentation of food ia superb. Chicken Karaage comes with Rosemary leaves and aroma is just a another level. must try! seafood Udon is also special. Very busy at dineer so wait time is a bit long but absolutely worth to wait today.

Popped in for dinner to avoid the rush hour traffic. We selected this place based off the great reviews which are totally accurate. We had the Chicken Katsu bento box. It was presented nicely and the food was fresh and delicious.

We were blown away at how wholesome and tasty the dishes were!! Love the blueberry powder used in the sushi and the very pretty presentation! Incredible value for money as well meaning you can have a feast and sample more dishes! It's a little cafe with a big shared table and such a hidden gem in the burbs. Arigatou Gozaimasu : )

Yummmmmy!Presented lovely, so fresh, tasty and customer service was very friendly. Overall one of the best services I've had from a restaurant in a long time.I'll be coming back!

Best Sushi and Katsu Donburi I have ever had. This sushi gem should be listed as one of Aucklands top sushi places. Incredible food! We drive half an hour from out west just to eat their amazing food!

The food was absolutely amazing! I came here for lunch and got the katsu chicken lunch special for $12.50! It was such a great price and the chicken was so crunchy and delicious! The customer service was excellent - everyone was very welcoming and kind. Will definitely be coming back here again and I highly recommend :)

Our family is so happy to have found this gem of a place just a few minutes away from our house. Food is very tasty and served in hefty portions. Owners are also very friendly. We will definitely be back soon!

Tried this place for the first time a couple weeks ago. Had the chicken donburi, the pork yakisoba and the vegetarian tempura box. The food was tasty, reasonable value and ell presented. Theres lots of parking available which makes it easy to get to, and the staff are very welcoming. Will return again to try some other dishes.

Mariko Japan is a very welcoming place with good vibes only! It's normally a takeaway place, but my family and I went here to dine in for dinner. Service was excellent and well presented. Food was warm, clean and delicious. Location is convenient, especially for those around the North Shore. Will definitely go back frequently. 감사합니다 ... ありがとうございました

New to the neighbourhood, we ordered an evening takeaway meal for the family, five adults and a child. Wow! Service was delightful. Food promptly prepared, authentic (our son’s been to Japan) and oh so tasty and filling. We had a great evening. Thanks Jeff and Marie.
