South Brighton Motor Camp

A clean and tidy camping area with large hedges all around. We stayed one night in our camper van. The stuff were friendly and accomodating. The showers are clean with good pressure! It's about a 20 minute drive from the centre of Christchurch but there's a nice cafe strip about a 3 minute drive from the camping grounds in New Brighton.

This is definitely one of the best holiday parks in Christchurch. Bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned daily. Sites are relatively private. Dog friendly by arrangement, and the owners will locate dog owners away from each other so there are no problems. Wifi isn't the best.

We've paid for a powered site and got confirmation for it and our family with 2 very young kids has been left outside the gate with no access. My husband and I were calling desperately from 5pm to make sure we get access for late arrival. No call or email communication from them and nobody would even answer our calls. On the website we have booked says it's closing at 8pm, elsewhere says 7pm and when I've asked for explanations he said that they close at 6pm due to covid. What a unprofessional excuse to not fulfil your services. We had to push the gate to get inside and no instructions left for us. In do many years of traveling across NZ and the world we never found such a poor service.

Awesome place great staff amazing community..friendly great facilities..awesome family environment and love it.. not wanting too go home will probably just stay here as its so good..5 stars would recommend..

We stayed at South Brighton Holiday park and it was great. Sam and Jackie are to be applauded for doing such a great job and arranging great improvements for this beautiful motor camp so close to the Brighton beaches and township. Had a great stay and met a lot of wonderful people. Hot pools close by. Thanks again Josje and Flip

Old style camping ground very clean. Good showers. Good location right in Chch walk along estuary on one side of camp and only couple of blocks walk to Brighton beach. Reasonable rates!

Great place to stay when you’re stopping through Christchurch. Clean and quiet - just what you need to get some rest. Friendly hosts and permanent residents. Locks on the bathroom and shower doors are a bit sticky and uneven and I cut myself twice using them, but maybe I’m just clumsier than most.

We had an absolutely great time here just before the lockdown, we ended up extending our stay. The facilities are well kept and the lady that checked us in was super friendly. There is a bus stop, just outside the parks entrance, where you can go straight to city center (we bought our metro cards from the Library next to the beach pretty close to the park).

Great Camping ground in Christchurch , the facilities are very well maintained and clean . The Staff are extremely friendly and also willing to help and give advice on the area . We stayed there for 4 nights and had a great time. Highly recommend this Campground . Thanks again Mitch

Excellent hosts, clean facilities and beautiful native birdsong. Close to supermarkets, restaurants and cycle trails. Beautiful New Brighton Pier and awesome sculpture park just down the road. It was easy getting into the city too. Loved staying here. A friendly place to stop. Thank you.
