My niece did the beginners course here, after waiting for ages. Joined the club, then was left to it. Didn't want to renew membership. Now stuck with gear. Sad

I have been a member of the Christchurch Archery Club for just over a year now, starting with a beginners course. It was the only beginning course still available at the time but I have stayed with this club because of the dedication of the coaches, the work and dedication of the committee and also (and probably the main reason) the social aspect of this club. There is a lot of excellent archers in this club, some of New Zealand's best, and they are very helpful and encouraging to a new archer like me. The club has a range of coaches and coaching sessions from beginners to advanced (high performance). There is almost always a competition shoot on Saturdays and coaching/practice sessions during the week. In the last year I have shot in multiple Postal" shoots

Wanted to take up archery as a fun sport, tried a beginners course. When I came back for more, was treated coldly. made to feel unwelcome and out of place. seems they're a very 'close' club but only to people they favor. Very hostile. won't be going back.

Friendly experienced tutors showed us the basics of Archery. Was enjoyed by all of the crew!
