Sonny Bakery Long Bay

So wanted to support my local but not when the pastry is not cooked! Such a pity especially when it looked so good.

It’s such a shame that they don’t cook their pies and donuts long enough. The flavours are great but the pastry is always not cooked . It makes it very difficult to eat a pie when it just falls apart cause the pastry is not cooked through.

Good food and good coffee served by a very friendly hard working young couple that run the bakery.

Another great addition to the village! Very neat and good variety. Pies at 4.50.

Excellent service. Excellent brownies.Good overall looked good, good size and good prices.

Last time I set foot in Long Bay was 1997 during a school camping trip to MERC.I wasn't expecting Long Bay to be quite as developed as now. This is great news because I found this gem of a bakery.We walked past it thinking that we will go try out one of the cafes nearby because normally a bakery in a newly developed area tend to be not that good. So we threw caution to the wind and settled with the good old pie and sausage roll.We were definitely not disappointed. That sausage roll reminded me of my childhood. The taste brings me back. The Butter Chicken pie was amazing! I dare say that this is probably the best tasting Butter Chicken pie out there.The Mince and Cheese however was lacking something. I can't quite put my finger on it.Pie pastry is superb. I can't wait to go back there and try other things.

Pies were great and for a competitive price. Flaky pastry, euro style and full of mince. Sandwiches were expensive but definitely higher quality compared to other bakeries. Very clean store - will be visiting again.
