The chips were not pleasant and tasted strongly of whatever oil they were cooked in. The chicken salad sandwich had a half slice of tomato and a small slice of beetroot cut in half and pushed to the front so it looked like it had a lot more in it. The saving grace was the donut with fresh cream....yum!!. If it wasn't for that I would only give them one star.

pies were not in the correct section and ended up getting a different one then i wanted, i paid with cash and ended up getting a $5 note i cant even spend. i still ate the pie was pretty good. good pie, trash service.

Twice now the Asian man has overcharged me. The 1st time I was overcharged $5 and when he saw me adding up my purchases he immediately took the $5 from the till and mumbled a halfassed apology. This morning he overcharged $2.10 and told me the till was the problem. I wonder how many people don't check and get ripped off here

Have been here a few times since the annual pie awards. Bloody brilliant little bakery, friendly staff, awesome pies. The gold medal vege pie with a ridiculous combination of kumara cranberry etc is super yum. The mince and cheese and steak and cheese are solid 8/10s. Good prices. Recommended.

The Kai is great but very stingy.. egg sandwiches.. it's literally egg in the middle of the bread and cut in the middle when u bite into it you only get 3 bites of egg and the rest bread.. WE PAY FOR A SANDWICH NOT THE BREAD! kiwis love eating Kai so serve us right
