A stunning experience, $40 a head minimum spend as per the terms isnt bad, the menu is quite pricey for the quality of the drinks but it's an experience to be up there enjoying them so I would highly rate it as an experience in AucklandThey do seem to run out of stuff quite often but it wasn't a big deal for us and we were treated well by the waiters there, a very hospitable crew

Absolute rip off with poor service.I have been here twice, only incidentally, because I happened to have come up the Sky Tower anyways. Both times the order has been messed up. And the second time, we received some very poor service. The first time, I ordered the blackcurrent mousse and an espresso martini. I was brought the wrong mousse (raspberry), but ate it, because I couldn't find any staff to replace it and got tired of waiting. The small mousse, which was a shelf item, cost an absurd amount, ($18), and the espresso martini cost over 20 bucks! The drink was fine, but was not served in a martini glass for some reason. The second time we went, I ordered another espresso martini and a tiramisu (from the display case), I was instead brought a cocunut mousse and decided to ask for the correct item to be brought. The waitress was consistently rude and irritable, rolling her eyes at the perfectly reasonable request from me to be served what I paid for. The espresso martini tasted like plain coffee, the serving size was ridiculously small considering the price (also, again, an incorrect glass, it was in a champagne flue). I complained to the rude waitress about the drink tasting like the bartender forgot to add the alcohol. The waitress went to check something and returned to take the drink away and asked me if I wanted a new one. I asked for it to be remade and she went away. The bartender then decided to come himself to argue with us. He asked me: what was the drama with the drinks?" And I tried to explain that it didn't taste quite right. He told me I was wrong

That will probably be my 1st and last time going to this bar. Coctails were good but myne came half filled and when you're paying a pretty penny for the premium location I at least expected to get more than 3 sips out of my drink. Mentioned this to the waiter who checked in on us and his response was 'well I'm not the manager and I can't do anything about it'. We ordered the cheese and meat plate @ $40ea which on the menu said are designed to be shared. They came out looking so sad and small. Not enough crackers n bread, had to ask for more the overall presentation was very poor & not on par with their high end vibe. Our seats were also very uncomfortable and the layout of the bar in a circle means that if you had mates at the bar at the same time, you would probably not run into them. Might be good for an intimate date where you don't want to be disturbed.. the little dj booth just looks sad and an after thought.

Regular visitor to Skycity here - if you’re a local I’d give this a miss. It’s a real tourist trap - if you wanna go for a drink, go to the Sugar club, it’ll be much better. Food and drinks are very overpriced compared to the casino downstairs or even the sugar club. If you’re a tourist, go for gold it’s a one off experience but otherwise avoid.

We were super excited to try this place out for a friend's birthday drinks on Saturday night. We got to the lift but it was closed (at 9.30pm) and had to be let in. We got to Skybar, sat down, and patiently awaited service. We weren't drunk, we literally only wanted to get one drink and then leave. This waitress (I didn't catch her name) instantly told us they were closing soon and they had actually 'run out of cocktails and coffees' so it wouldn't be much point staying anyway. We were gutted. As we were deciding where to go next, this other waiter comes up to us and gives us drink menus and water and we are very confused as to why, if they are closing and have no drinks left. We ask him are you guys out of anything?" to which he replies "nope
