We have been going down to the port to watch the cruise ship come in but for an amazing veiw of the port go up to the lookout on the bluff hill.

Napier port is very close to the city. One can enjoy a great seeing of beach, garden,fountain, shopping centre , golf club,restaurants and some old memories .in the night one can see the big pine tree with a beautiful decoration lighton it...And is close by from a walking distance. Outside the port gate,there is a seamen club(the mission to seafarers) and 10 minutes of walking a great city of NZ. This port is for oilcargo ship, log carrier ship and as well as passenger ship.

A decent sized port, which was set up well. People were friendly. Good layout. Reasonably well organized.

Well setup for Cruises! We came on Ovation of the Seas and everyone was super helpful and professional!Note you need to take a shuttle bus to get out of the port.

I found every port in New Zealand to be an amazing place. The people are friendly. Prices are greatv as are food and entertainment. Many places we visited were free. The botanical gardens are amazing.
