Nelson Car Hire

Katina and Kerry are both very lovely! Small, family run style business.I arranged my car hire all via email which was convenient for me. Kerry came to collect me from the Airport and brought me to the office to arrange the paper work. I am new to Nelson and he showed me some basic routes and even went the extra mile with doing a drive by of the place where I would be working over the next few weeks. Outstanding and friendly customer service, would definitely recommend and use Nelson Car Hire again.

Let me start off by saying this is the best experience I have ever had with a car rental service. This is a family owned and operated business and it definitely shows. They went well above and beyond to accommodate me and my numerous questions. Can't recommend these guys enough. Will definitely use their services on my next trip to NZ.Thanks Jason you're the man.

Absolutely brilliant! Pickup from the airport. Great, economical car for the best price I could find. Dropped back off at the airport. Such lovely people! We had a great experience. Would 100% recommend.

My brother and I, both under 22 years old then, were given an excellent value car. At first, we were going to go with Apex, but their city desk is only with reservation. We walked to Nelson Car Hire, where they were very helpful and less than 30’ later we drove away with our almost spotless rental! Drop off was also extremely smooth.

We had 2x recommendations for Nelson car hire so we couldn't go wrong. The car was so economical & the rental hire was very affordable. Jason was so helpful as were the rest of the team. Definitely use this rental car place if you're in Nelson. I like that it's also family owned

We had a fantastic experience with this rental company. Friendly pick up and drop off. They have a great relationship with 'baby on the move' so there was a carseat properly installed for our little one. A great local business.

Great service. Our car broke down. We rung them and it didn't go through for some reason. He rung us back. Picked us up from town. Dropped us back at the car the next day when it was fixed. Very friendly and accomodating. Would definately use again and suggest others did too.

Would've been great if I had a bit more detail about their rentals when I was talking to them over the phone... Twice...Got stung with $140 payment for a cancellation fee after arriving at there office due to not being able to pay for a hefty $3k bond or providing a credit card. They have friendly enough service and was even kind enough to help me source a competitor who did not have these issues. Just a couple points for future customer service. Don't tell the customer they should get there full licence while denying them and maybe not tell them they can't visit many places because they won't have extra money for petrol. Just not helpful in the moment and causes angst with the customer.

I booked with another company earlier (OCR) and it was very disappointing as staff said he was on his way to pick us up but waited for ages. Rang them and said it wasn't processed yet. What??? Then i stumbled upon Nelson Car Hire. I rang them and in 10 minutes the manager was in front of us with the car which was almost brand new with cheaper price. Coincidental? Will say meant to be. I always would look up to companies who would live up to their promises! I would highly recommend this company if you go to sunny Nelson!
