We stopped there to grab a quick bite and coffee to take away in the middle of a road trip. The cheese puff was amazing. Best I've ever had, light and fluffy.I'll definitely stop there next time I drive past.

Very nice setting, staff not overly concerned with customer service, ordered the farmers breakfast and a coffee, my sunny side up eggs were served hard over easy when I brought this to the multi heir colored waitress attention she replied that the sun had gone down on them and walked off, a witty reply I'll give her that. but I would have been much happier with sunny side up. By far, it's not the best breakfast or service that I've ever had

Absolutely recommend lushingtons, wonderful knowledgeable staff. Perfectly made hot coffee and the best steak sandwich and fries in the south island. Six star If I could!!

Good place to stop on the side of SH1 when travelling. Good coffee and selection of cabinet food. Blue muffin is recommended. Clean toilets and take time to browse their selection of healthy plants.

All the staff seemed very sad. Smiles and laughter would lift the place. Typical small town Cafe. Great cross section of the community coming and going.

Was very disappointed with this cafe. Ordered the chicken burger and the chicken tasted like cheap store bought chicken, there was also a long black hair in my food. the ladies yelled at my sister from across the restaurant asking if she got a smoothie instead of coming over to ask her. i understand it’s a homey town and their is locals but you should still be polite and respectful to new people. Won’t be coming back.
