Micheal and his colleagues really are a great team. I had some major work that needed doing on my van, and needed it done quickly to be back on the road within a couple of days. I had been quoted an eyewatering amount by the AA who wanted to send the van to Lower Hutt for work. MJ Motors fit us in at short notice and got the work done quickly, efficiently, and for a fair price. Communication was excellent and they were a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommended their services.

Wof cost $80 and took 2 days. Review posted on no more cowboys was removed. This was my partners first experience getting a warrant for her first car, she was fully taken advantage of. Her van failed on brake pads that were recently replaced and 2 worn tires. She was quoted $445.50 to replace the brake pads and told they can't replace just the pads they only replace the pads and discs together. Also $240 per tire so a grand total of $925.50 in work that didn't need to be done plus $80 for wof inspection. We took it to vtnz the same day and passed a wof with no mention of issues with the brakes. 2 tires quoted from the mechanic we found cost us $120 including labour. On top of this level of fraud the mechanic mike made no effort to communicate or reach a fair outcome for us and refused to acknowledge that he was taking advantage of my partners limited knowledge. I would advise anyone thinking of using this business to avoid and use a reputable agency like vtnz or the AA for a wof and anyone else as a mechanic "

Great service. After trying few other places around Welly, I've been servicing my car in MJM for last 4 years. Never had any issues.

Exemplary honesty.I went to this garage on the recommendation of our neighbor who has trusted him completely for a very long time. I wanted to do the WOF inspection.After starting the inspection, the expert (who looked a bit like young Russell Crow!) realized that our current WOF is valid for 6 months. Instead of going on, he called my husband to understand why we wanted a WOF (being a foreigner, I had misunderstood one piece of information: I thought we needed a WOF dated less than a month before putting the car up for sale; the expert explained to me that this was not the case). So I got the car back, without any fee being charged to us. I salute the honesty of this garage! In addition, the delays were fast (2 days to get the appointement).

We have gone to MJ a few times and Mike and John are absolutely delightful to work with about car stuff. They serviced our car once for a dead battery and we just got the full oil change and service check done today. They even called ahead before adding the cost of some spark plugs on that needed replaced to make sure we could afford that being added to bill. Mike even did 2 minor fixes on our headlights and a side mirror for us to pass our Warrant of Fitness that VTNZ was being way too picky about at no extra charge. We would absolutely recommend them for any work you need. More mechanics should be this genuine and this kind.

Recommend it.Took my car today to do the wof and a maintenance. Micheal was very understanding in getting my car done today as I needed it for tomorrow, even when it meant him staying and xtra hour. Really appreciate it, thanks.

Very unpleasant experience with MJ motors. Poor communication with me and each other. Dropped my car off in the morning and called at 4:30 to see if I could pick it up and they said their was a miss communication and my wof hadn't been done, they then said I would get a call or a message when it's ready to pick up. I got a call close to 7pm asking where I was, at this point my daughter was in bed and I couldn't get to the mechanics and had to wait until the following day.

Working with these guys for the last 12 years and very happy with the service.

Great place to get a booked service

Very friendly staff. The guy who helped us took the time to help us properly, giving us lots of information and did some extra checks to make sure he could give us the right info. Fair priced as well. Would highly recommend this place.
