Island Bay - Reef Street at Shorland Park

The Island Bay Bus Terminus is located at Reef Street. Buses park next to the building with the large, Wall Art (based on the marine scene as viewed from the Island Bay Esplanade) after they arrive from Wellington. There is no shelter as it is not needed.When the buses are ready to return to Wellington they do a U-turn and wait on the opposite side, at the covered shelter that's located next to Shorland Park.This terminus is the perfect place and distance from which to view and appreciate this marine, street art which sits directly opposite the shelter.To get to the Esplanade and the IB Beach, walk to the end of Reef Street. You can't miss it. It's a great beach in a sheltered bay and is popular with the locals.
