Carrie at curate did such an amazing job helping me to reorganise my wardrobe, linen cupboard, and living room shelving. Carrie has been working her magic and helping us transform our lives by organising our home! From kids area to pantry to storage cupboard, after each visit we feel like our home becomes more functional and easier to be in. Before we had Carrie, we lived in chaos, piles of stuff we didn't know what to do with. I did that thing of moving from the Northern to the Southern Hemisphere and lost all of my (marbles and) tools for being organized. Curate Home's website spoke to me when it asked the perfect question: Does your home leave you feeling overwhelmed and frustrated?I knew that Carrie was the right one to help me because yes, I was frustrated, overwhelmed and, well, even depressed about the lack of organization and chaos going on in my house. I needed systems. I need to lighten the load (and empty the storage unit that my guest room had become!). Here are some of the ways Carrie helped me....1. She treated me and my space and my things with respect up front, right away and all throughout the process. Any time I was embarassed, she said the right thing to disappear that unhelpful mind clutter. Anytime I needed a breath to process a mess or the attachment to something I no longer needed - she almost always pre-empted it with empathy and kindness.2. She paid attention to my physical needs (I can't bend well, I can't use lower spaces in certain ways because of that) and came up with storage and organizing solutions in ways that will be sustainable to my spirit and my body!3. She used her physical abilities to reach things, grab things, carry things, haul things, etc. I would have pooped out much sooner in my sessions if she hadn't done the heavy lifting in more ways than one.4. She taught me systems that will last and had knowledge of tools (boxes, labels, smash packing, etc) that I as an immigrant to NZ did not know about.5. She took all my crap out of the house! Not sure about you, but this service was epic to me! I was able to let go of endless amounts of things that I was holding onto because I wanted them to go to the right people in need. Carrie knew the place that could use kids stuff. She knew the career clothing charity that my beautiful and expensive big girl (plus size) clothes could find a person who would need/love them. She knew the right place to take furniture and I'm sure she also took some of my stuff to the dump. Every session we had included about a car load of stuff that Carrie drove away with and passed on to the right people. This was a unique and beautiful component of Curate Home.6. She was excellent and timely about all of our communications, from the first inquiry to the many mini-convos we had about upcoming work sessions.There's more to say and I'm happy to talk to anyone who is considering getting your life organized and wonder if Curate Home is for you. I have used more expensive home organizing consultants in the USA, so I have some comparative knowledge. But really, if you want to know if Curate Home worked...just look at the before and after photos (of only one of the rooms we worked on!). I'm perfectly happy and excited to write this review and I hope this is helpful to anyone going on the clearing out/home organizing journey!P.S. I do not get a penny for being Curate Home's hype girl. I just gotta say it out loud when a business comes through big. Also, excuse the Zeds vs. the S's. :-)

I can honestly say that Carrie has changed my life. I was completely overwhelmed and Carrie, in her kind, gentle, non-judgmental, yet focused manner was incredibly helpful in making our home(and space) decluttered, organized and calm. As an older woman I felt respected and valued with the way Carrie navigated me through the process of letting go, that has lead me to the experience of flying without wings. The whole session was so much more than the clothes I was sorting, it was a psychological experiment with personal growth which has proved to me I am never too old to learn and develop deeper parts of my self awareness. Carrie has great ideas for storage solutions and a collaborative approach. With her experience, she immediately spotted small changes that made a big difference to how I use my kitchen. She then revolutionised by pantry and cupboard storage. Feels so good! I definitely recommend her.
