The Fireplace Man

Did a good job putting the fireplace in but hasn't provided us with a valid PS3 so we can't get code of compliance. Won't respond to emails or calls. Will now have to pursue small claims.

Dale is really knowledgeable and very very good at what he does!His quote was well priced, he gave us good advice on the fireplace/ reasons why the one he recommended was best and he did great work with our tricky installation which went through a second story, A frame roofs and we wanted the flue bent in such a way that the pipe was next to my husbands bed for heat. Dale achieved everything we wanted and stuck to his quote.

The company charges for have look the work and quotes. I don't choose.

I wouldn't recommend The Fireplace Man. Inspected and provided a quote then tried to charge $1500 more than quoted. The 2 Day job took 5 days over a period of almost a month. Uses angle grinder inside the lounge creating a hell of mess and micro burns on lounge suite and furniture. Uses drop clothes to cover carpet with huge holes in them which resulted in unrepairable damage to our carpet. Still fighting insurance. Ended with me having to get another engineer in to fix his repair because the door wouldn't shut after using the fire for the first time. Cost over $2600 but I then needed to pay someone else to put it right - very disappointing.

Shoddy workmanship resulting in a flue that has popped out of the fire as you can see in the attached photos. Has ignored emails, phone calls and text messages for months - just disappeared off the face of the planet once he’d been paid. Doesn’t have a current registration so we’re currently unable to get our code of compliance. Your archetypal rogue trader. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
