McNamara Shift-A-Flat Removals

We have used these guys twice. The first time they were good. The second time they were terrible. We decided to use them again after our first experience and asked them to meet us at our storage unit and move everything out and into our garage. After not arriving at 2pm I gave them a call and they lied about leaving a voice message saying they were running late and they would be there at 3pm. So we waited at the storage unit. Between 3:30 and 4:30 we rang several times and nobody answered and they NEVER SHOWED UP! Very frustrating as we had taken leave to finish moving and had to extend our storage unit lease, not to mention waiting at a storage unit for 2.5 hours.

Well what can i say, i was so impressed with these guys, i had a huge access for them to deal with, and they made it look so easy. The way they strap up everything that they can carry more is unbelievable! Well done guys. I will recommend you to everybody i know.

I'm pretty sure I was over charged. The movers took 3 hrs. to move one bedroom worth of belongings. They also showed up over an hour late. Next time I will go with someone who doesn't charge by the hour.

I'm not usually motivated to make a review but these guys said they were going to be late (which was fine) however three hours later I called them to ask where they were - they had forgotten. They said they would be there first thing" but then they were an hour half late which resulted in me pissing off the outgoing landlord. On top of this the movers said was had been quoted wasn't gst inclusive. Twas a big ol headache"

I have to say that I have never been more impressed with a moving company before. The two gentlemen, and I mean gentlemen, were well spoken, very courteous, and efficient. The lifts they did using a (strap?) were very impressive. They were late, but more then made up for it by being fast, safe, and most of all careful. They also gave me a discount. Will never use another removalist. I will recommend them to everyone I know who is moving. I also went out of my way and bought them some beers. Way to go McNamara!

Have used this company twice and they are fast, professional, and reasonably priced. For example cost me $150 to move from Island Bay to Porirua for a two bedroom flat. Can highly recommend!

Well these guys have totally crap customer service. My friend was booked to move today at 2pm. They didn't show, he called them to check when they would be arriving & he told that someone took his number but didn't take down the address from where my friend was moving from & the address he was moving to. He was told that they were busy but would ring my friend back at 4:30pm to confirm pick up at 5pm. Low & behold, my friend has been ringing but no reply. It is 6:45 pm & still no reply or anything from them.Thank goodness for Greg from Vanman! He came to the rescue! My friend will be moving no thanks to McNamara... Poor customer service can cripple a company & this surely will cripple them if this really bad review doesn't! I would recommend NEVER USE MCNAMARA TO MOVE EVER!

Would give 0/5 if possible. Came more than 2 hours late to pick our stuff up and then broke a desk in the move. Were given no explanation as to what happened to the desk and had to call them up to find out.So far I have called them 5 times and every time Gavin on the phone has no idea who I am or what I am referring to and takes my details down and tells me I'll get back to you soon"At this point its been a few months and we have given up hope of ever seeing the desk. Pretty sure these guys are a front for a drug operation but that's just a hunch."

The guys from McNamara's have just left after moving us within Wellington. They were amazing. They took excellent care of our furniture and worked really hard. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to move. We moved a large four bedroom house, with a walk up for both. They were positive and professional through out.

I didn't organise to use this company, flatmate had. Should have gone with anyone else. Threatened with violence by one of their employees for nothing. Guy was clearly jacked on something. And his handler did nothing. 0-/5 you could never trust these guys in your house. Nut-job looked like he was casing the place the whole time.
