Nice food. A few dollars over priced, especially for a standard size. Nice though and friendly staff.

The lady at the counter was kind but the food was really really gross. I couldn't even eat half of it - pretty tasteless, just tasted like red chilli pepper and black bean. I can make better burritos using kits from the supermarket.

Ah I love Mad Mex. Easily the best of the franchised Mexican places. Their burritos are a good size, all the ingredients taste fresh and everyone there is nice and more importantly, knows how to make the things they're supposed to. Fries are not bad. Hotsauce on all the tables.

Came here because the souvlaki place was closed. Disappointing, had too much rice and the wrap was a bit sloppy. Won't be back. The staff were nice.

Fav mexican in NZ. Love their burritos and Vegan Chicken. Best fries as well! Wife loves the Grande Melt, i think it’s called.

They don’t provide water when their peers do. The cheapest drink is over $3 for a small 300ml coke or soda. They are overpriced, which will affect them when more competitors enter the market in the next 5 years due to more affordability of Mexican ingredients and the growing demand as seen in North American cities

This is not just another fast food outlet - the food is fresh, prepared each day, with a tantalising range of real Mexican food, and can be as mild or hot as you like. I will be going back again.

Great food. It's like a Subway for your standard Mexican food. They are quite expensive in terms of the portion size they give you. I was left feeling hungry afterwards and this is coming from a small person who doesnt eat that much. Additionally, they could have put more cheese on my meal, as it's a key ingredient. These are minor issues though. Besides that, the food is quick to make and delicious and staff are very pleasant.

I was excited at the opportunity to eat lunch out and I came away disappointed. I had a naked burrito and despite the ingredients being fresh it lacked any real flavour. The meat was bland, the rice was bland, the beans were bland, the guacamole seriously watered down. The hot salsa was tasty and the salad fresh. Needed a serious injection of spice and flavour. :(
