Golden Scissors

I asked for a 1-2 fade on the side and on the back and 1 inch of the top (I've been growing and taking care of my hair for 2 years) he proceeded to fully shave the side and cut my back hair around 3 or 2 inches and didn't even cut the front and now my hairs un even and it also used to be fluffy and he did this wierd cutting thing in a rush and made my hair flat Will never go back very dissatisfied and disappointed Almost wanted to cry Not to mention he was in a rush and tied my hair and was pulling it for fun very sad.

Thank you for cutting my kids hair. Being patient & understanding as well. My son is autistic and sometimes gets unsettled so being able to find a barber who knew how to handle my kids situation was great.

Seemed like he was in a rush. Barely faded the sides instead completely shaved them, completely rush it leaving a patch on the back and side. I asked if he could use scissors on the top to trim and thin, instead used shavers, didn't thin it and turned it into a round top. Only reason I didn't complain was because I didn't want to seem rude, definitely not going to return

Best barbers in Wellington. I visit here on a monthly basis. Never disappointed.

Got No. 2 buzz cut, did good job but too pricey ($30)

Unfortunate experience, I went there and ask for a #1 on the sides and to be faded/blended when reaching the top (PS: I've been growing my top for 10 months). The barber was in a hurry and just went with #1 all the way to the top (no fading/blending). He asked me if it was fine (after the fact) to what I replied yes, as he was aiming to close in 5 minutes and had 3 customers waiting. That was a mistake.I returned the following day, waited my turn and explained to him there was a misunderstanding as he didn't cut as requested. He was receptive to that and I went to the chair again. I had it cut really short to fix the misunderstanding (which was the only way) and once done he mentioned I should pay again as it was a 2nd cut (ps, not even 24 hours in between).I ask him to reconsider but he was adamant payment was required, so I did.In the end, I paid twice for a haircut I was not planning; and despite I gave the barber opportunities to reconsider he just chose the money over a customer. Not coming back.

Had my hair and beard done here, amazing service very thorough.Warm atmosphere inside comfortable seating - definitely worth checking out!

I didn't have a great experience though this place was highly recommended to me and others have had a positive experience.Place was busy so said I would go another time. The guy then directed me to a chair and got his ?wife/receptionist to cut my hair who shaved off the undercut I was trying to grow out and cut my hair with thinning scissors. Looks nothing like the photo I showed them and they charged me $40 for the cut. I'm not going there again.

Real nice cut, the shop is very well presented and the price is very competitive. It was my first visit to Golden Scissors, if will not be my last. Best of all, talking to the barber he is a long time local that even knew someone I knew, such a small world. This one is a straight 10.
