When our gasfitter told us our old gas meter was a safety risk, they said to get in touch with our gas supplier for a new one. So, we got in touch with Nova, who said, no problem, they'll log it as urgent and let Vector (who supply/maintain the gas meters) know so they can get a contractor over ASAP.So, maybe 7pm that night, we get a call from Vector. They can't send a contractor over, it turns out, because Nova needs to do a site check first. I need to call Nova and tell them that Vector is telling them to do a site check. WHAT? Have Vector and Nova recently had a divorce, and aren't speaking!? When I enquire why they're telling me this and not Nova directly, the reply was we don't have a way to contact them". Amazing. I don't have the energy to revisit the litany of lies that spewed forth from the operator when I questioned this

A whole week after the storm I still have low power bad enough to the point where it wont work my oven or stovetop, meaning I have no other option but to buy takeaways every night, which took 40 minutes one way until the slip on my road was cleared a day ago. I have reported the outage nearly 4 days ago, and nobody has even been to look at it yet.How is any New Zealander, let alone me supposed to live off of fast food in this economy? Every meal is $30-$40 and I only get just over $200 a week to spend after I pay my rent. Are you going to cover the costs of the $200+ minimum per week I am now being forced to spend on 1 single meal of rip-off fast food per day? You are leaving an entire road of people to rely on junk food. We can't even use the supplies we stocked up on the governments orders unless we want to eat cold cans of beans and tomatoes because: OUR ELECTRIC OVENS AND STOVES DON'T WORK. NO COOKWARE DOES UNLESS IT IS GAS POWERED.I'd rather have had the power go out the next night again and have had you people actually fix the problem, but no, you just leave us with enough power to half-power the fridge and a few lightbulbs and say job well done

We live in Wade Heads on Whangaparaoa and our neighbourhood has lost power a multitude of times during these last two crazy storms. Vectors employee’s were out there in the wind, rain and hazards to get our power on as quickly as possible. THANK YOU - the words are too small for what it means to people to have the comfort of a charged mobile, a light, a cup of tea or coffee and the voice of a loved one. You are heroes

Great customer services team full of lovely overworked people but obviously something is not working internally. Reported an outage 3 days ago and I keep getting told its likely to be repaired tomorrow and I keep getting ticket numbers that are progressively higher. When tomorrow comes, I'm still in the dark and cold without electricity. I didn't realise NZ was a developing country...Funny thing is most houses around my area has managed to regain power and it feels a few selective houses including mine have been ignored. Areas that have reported power outages later than myself have already been repaired. Not sure what they are constantly assessing instead of doing the actual repairing. Literally told them that my power meter does not show any readings. Gotta love playing monopoly.

We lost all power at our house on the North Shore at about 8.30 last night. We soon realised it was just our house with the problem and on further investigation, saw that there were no power at the meter. I called vector at about 9.00pm The call was answered immediately, where I was advised depending on other jobs on, it was unlikely that a technician would be there before the morning - which I understood fully. A Technician however arrived at around 10.15pm and power was restored just after 11 last night. Superb service all round. Thanks!

We got a card from Vector and says there will be power outage on 21 Feb at 10pm. As our shop close at 11pm, we close early yesterday, appologised to all customers, turned off all devices, and then, nothing happened. I went to Vector website to check this morning, and it was CANCELLED, without telling us. I dont even know will that maintainance be re scheduled or not. I dont want to ask my customers to leave early again. GOOD JOB Vector, as always, not suprised

I would give a -5 star if I had the option. We have had power surges and flashing lights in our house every night for over 6 months because Vector are unbelievably useless. We had absolutely no problems until Vector “upgraded” our lines for a small fee of $8k. It is an endless stream of nonsensical conversations and no action whatsoever to resolve the problem. Unethical and unprofessional service.

Appreciate for the amazing work you guys did from Cyclone Gabrielle. My power was cut 2ce and has been fixed both times. You guys worked all through the dark in strong wind to get it fixed! My second power outage came back around 9pm while the wind was still going! Thank you so much for the rescue.

Very poor customer service. Have logged numerous tickets. Been passed on from Auckland Council to Vector for over a month now with no outcome other than the fact that the Body Corpoate is responsible. Finally got a response today but was shoved over to the Body Corporate to find out from them despite logging separate tickets as they had spoken to the BC about the same issue but magically on some other ticket issue despite all this while not acknowleding the issue until I had logged my own ticket. The bollard lights at 45 Secoia Crescent run off the Vector grid apparently and the local electrician was unable to work on it as he could not isolate the issue. It has been over a month now with the blame game on going.Would have been helpful if Vector could do the job and bill the Body Corporate rather than trying to risk local contractors to fix this issue which most are hesitant to attempt as the pillar with the fault is directly connected to the Vector network! Tired of the blame game and it seems there is no one at Vector who can actually attempt to address this issue but rather pass it on. Incompetent!Strong mangement and good customer services is badly needed. Would give a negative rating if possible! In this day and age, service standard is third class!

Was very impressed with service received today from Vector. We had power outage, called vector, was straight through and after call logged, was advised that a technician will be out within 75mins. Within an hour technician arrived and fault sorted. Great service thank you Vector
