Easy access, great swimming beach for the little ones, best at high tide. Changing rooms, toilets are kept to a good standard. Large BBQ areas too for big groups but I think might have to be booked via a DOC website?

Nice easy access to beach for wheelchairs/pushchairs.Flush toilets & 2 free bbq's to use. Nicer to swim at high tide, safer for kids!

Peaceful place with huge area to find your personal spot away from other people - beautiful combination of black sand and green lawns.2 bbq under gazebos to use and lots of picnic tables, clean and decent size changing rooms, toilets, outdoors showers and a drinking fountainLots of parking area.You can meet pīwakawaka, different types of seagulls, ducks, kākārikis, tōreas, tūīs and tauhou almost every time you come there

Great place for a walk. Big car park and you can bring dogs (although they need to be on lead according to the council regulations).

Beach area is very child friendly and the water is calm and shallow. Trees behind the beach offer welcome shade. During the week usually easy to find parking. Toilets.

Quiet good relaxing place for the west Aucklanders. Lots of shades and ample parking. It's just the water is not so clean as it used to be
