Mistletoe Bay
Very nice and beautiful camping ground. Both staffs and visitors were so friendly. We felt very safe staying there. It's in an isolated area, but with all the basic facilities for staying several days. The only thing missing is laundry, but given that the water source is from water tank. It makes sense that water should be prioritised for drinking & cooking. So this place still deserves a 5 star.

Lucky enough to take this tour from Picton Harbour to Mistletoe Bay green mussel tour, on arrival at the harbour you are given a BBQ lunch before you set of. The highlight of the tour are the green lipped mussels and salmon very tasty. Then a 20 minute stop at Mistlestoe Bay to stretch your legs.

Fabulous place to stay! Beautiful site in a sheltered cove, flat grassy pitches, really eco-everything, great coffee, brilliant kitchen with squashy sofas, hot showers, you get masses of value here, and it's so relaxing. We did the Peninsula Walk nearby as well, beautiful. We stayed just one night oh the Queen Charlotte track, but could have stayed a week. Really recommended. They have cabins too if you don't like camping.

I love this place and so do my tamariki. We had great weather which helped but the place was magical as always. Facilities were clean and functional but we went there for mother nature and she didn't disappoint. No light pollution meant that the sky was a blaze with stars and the glow worms and bio illuminecence in the water meant that everything was sparkling. ♥ This place and will be back soon.

Good indoor lodging, great showers and location, unfortunately shared kitchen for lodges was full of rat or mouse poo even on the cookers and plates. Would be good to have some cheaper lodges built for two people as most were for families only.

I had the nicest time as hiker camping at Mistletoe. Shona, the new site manager, was very kind and accommodating especially given the heavy rain. The hot shower is fantastic and the camp ground kitchen is really well set up! The pigs and lamas were entertaining and after sunset, I went down to the jetty and watched the bioluminescence. I highly recommend Mistletoe as an overnight option on the QCT!

We had a wonderful stay at Mistletoe Bay with our 3 teens. We biked in via the Queen Charlotte Track from Anakiwa, which was a fun challenge. Then we got water taxi to Picton 2 days later. Nick and Zoe were super friendly and attentive. They helped us out with kitchen equipment and the little shop was stocked with a good range of basic supplies that came in very handy too. The kitchen was fabulous, and the showers were clean and very modern. There were two large fields for camping, making it possible to find a nice quiet spot. The Bay was gorgeous and we had a blast on the kayaks and stand up paddle boards that we hired. All in all, the perfect get away and a great way to end our tour of the South Island.
