Lakestone Lodge

Lakestone Lodge was one of the best places I have stayed at. From the magical views over the lake to the beautifully appointed rooms, our stay was absolutely perfect! The chef is an asset to the team - both dinner and breakfast was fabulous. I would highly recommend Lakestone Lodge to anyone and will definitely be returning. Thank you Mike and all the team for making our last few nights in NZ a holiday to remember.

This is a fabulous lodge, with unparalleled views of Mount Cook and Lake Pukaki. The two days we spent here were perfect. The room was really comfortable, the food was well prepared with local ingredients and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Mike even showed me how to use the media room to watch some football at 4am! If you’re heading this way book this very, very special place.

This is a very warm and beautiful place. The staff are amazing and the view is off the charts.We stayed for a bit of R&R after some crazy days skiing and exploring.Highly recommend staying here and it was awesome chatting to others passing through in a comfortable environment.

Lakestone lodge is an absolutely beautiful property, that is run by a wonderful couple. This boutique accommodation offers breathtaking views of Lake Pukaki, coupled with incredibly personalized and high-quality service. They have a very talented chef, and I would highly recommend participating in their dinner service.While this is a sustainable property located in a fairly remote location, they have spared no expense in creating a very luxurious environment for their guests.We felt incredibly welcomed from the moment we arrived, and our only regret is that we were not able to stay for longer than 1 night. We were in New Zealand for 3 weeks, and Lakestone Lodge was by far our favorite place that we stayed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lakestone lodge. The business owner Anna went away before our arrival yet she sent me a lovely msg assuring me her team would take good care of us. We indeed found the lakestone team very professional & caring & accommodating.The highlight for me would be the birthday surprise cake.  Not only the staff member Eden acknowledged it a few times while serving us the dinner, but also Eden & the chef brought out this delicious marble cake after our dinner.  I was curious  how they found out , perhaps I may've mentioned it while booking the room? They in fact remembered it, and provided such a beautiful personal touch to end my day.Another lady Kim is very hospitable & helpful. She mentioned Fairlie Bakehouse which is on our way back to ChCh, and we wouldn't have tried those amazing pies without her recommendation. I can't recall all the staff names but I have to say the entire team is efficient & courteous in a calm controlled manner.Our room at the end of the hallway is spacious with the magnificent panoramic view of Lake Pukaki. Don’t even mention the comfy bathtub by the window & well selected bath salts.If you are after five star accommodation, fabulous lake view and superb service, Lakestone Lodge is definitely the one I would recommend :-)

Amazing. Just amazing. Cute rooms with unbelievable view of Mount cook. Lots of really nice touches like welcome drink and homemade snacks. Anytime coffee/tea bar. Super friendly and helpful staff. Yummy cooked bfast and 3 course dinner. A real gem of a place - hope to be back .

The most incredible stay! The food was the best we had on our 2 week trip! everything was so memorable, all staff were so welcoming and easy to talk to. The night sky experience in particular was something we'll never forget! Amazing all round and highly recommended.
