All sorts of cycling options for kids young and old. Have a crack on the BMX track, or help the kids learn how to follow the road rules on the mini road layout. Plus it’s a great kicking off point to ride to town and back.

Was a cold afternoon but the kids didn't seem to mind, and were really keen to head over to the cycle park for a play. Hardly anyone else around so we had the place to ourselves pretty much. Just such a good place for the little ones to begin learning about road sense, give way signs, traffic lights and so on, and a great big track for the braver ones to cycle around. Just managed to get into the car before the rain came, we will definitely be back

Absolutely amazing peice of publically funded fun. The kids absolutley love it and parking is super easy. Sheltered area under a sun shade, perfect spot for an ice cream

Awesome place for little ones, there is a track for kids with give way signs, traffic signals, railway track, speed bumps and more. Very tidy and well maintained. It is fun and interesting way to teach kids road sense. Best place to visit and spend an evening if you have kids.There is an option to donate fund's too. Good for teaching kids to value public spaces.

To those experiencing it for the first time The Taranaki Cycle Park is a hidden gem.It is adjoining the fabulous Coastal Walkway/Cycle path and caters to everyone from learners to infants to accomplished road and track cyclists. It has been a model for communiities around the country to emulate.
