Very busy sometimes but it has very good pizza. You can usually get food quite fast even when it's very busy, I had to wait about 45 minutes for a coffee at the busiest time of day. The staff are quite nice and have an adequate array of drinks. It's fun skiing halfway down to have a piece of pizza and a coke.

Small cafe close to the Captains Chair lifts. It is fairly large and does have a fair bit of indoor seating as well as some outdoor ones. It has a nice view of the surrounding area so it is a nice place to take a break if you're on that side of the mountain.

Great hot chocolate, and conveniently halfway down one of the ski tracks. Love to stop of on the way down to warm up and admire the view

Great location. Looking a bit tired and the food quality is not great. They need to look into the menu and options. Needs a little TLC and management. Staff really work hard and clean up in great.

A better place to have lunch at cardrona than the Base cafeteria. It's usually less crowded and the views are better. Their pizzas are exceptionally good and have a tiramisu for dessert!

Love Captain's Cafe! My favourite NZ ski field snack and coffee stop by far. Easy access and great views, fast friendly service.

Ski resort food. Nothing awesome. Filled the hole for lunch. My flexitarian friends struggled to find substantial alternatives.

Pleasant atmosphere, i got the venison ragu which was unfortunately devoid of venison I think I counted 3 tiny pieces amongst the nocci and the sauce was reasonably tasteless I past on my feedback to one of the staff,sorry to be critical but for $27 definitely underwhelmed!
