We ordered tandoori chicken, lamb biryani and garlic Naan. The food was excellent. Tandoori chicken was superbly done and the lamb biryani was very tasty. Great food and good service.

A tiny Indian takeaway serving very good food. Not really a dine-in restaurant. Speciality is Hyderabad cuisine which is full of flavour but minus the heat. Competitively priced, good portion sizes. Ample off-street parking. No delivery.

One of the best Indian restaurant in Auckland. Authentic Hyderabadi cuisines and excellent customer service. This is a must visit restaurant while in Auckland.

Best biryani.. portion size and price is good. Chilly Chicken is very nice too.I liked more than paradise biryani..

We got the butter chicken $11 lamb Rogan Josh $11, chicken biryani $11, 3 separate rice $2 each is good price.My son liked the butter chicken and the lamb wasn't very strong in flavour. The biryani was okay for flavours but had a good balance of spiciness. The yoghurt I got separate in two containers $3 each but had no flavour just tasted like plain yoghurt. I was expecting some flavour. My son purchased a family size chicken biryani and they gave him a yogurt dish on the side, that was yummy. This had no flavour. The portion of meat was very little as well.

Want to rate zero but no option, did the phone order Talawa Ghost (Lamb fry) with chicken biryani, went to pick up the order, should be fry item but they prepared gravy item, asked him in the counter it should be fry and I showed him the menu, then the person in the counter started arguing saying, you no need to show me the menu I know how it looks, that means they intentionally made the wrong item. Asked me to wait 5mins and we waited got the order and again which is not still the correct one, I should have taken both pics before and after.While we leaving from the store again he started arguing that you don't need to show the menu I know what is talawa ghost is, instead of saying sorry he made the heated argument.I asked him for the name he was like what you gonna do and you can't do anything, and he said the name as SASHI and said do whatever you want.We came out as don't want to continue the argument with the rude staff. This is the worst experience I ever had. Never recommend this restaurant.

Bought butter chicken and it felt like the meat was from some other curry. I am definitely not going back to Southern Spice. Zero stars
