Phenomenal food and an awesome atmosphere watching the chefs make the food right in front of you. The Falafel and tahini are spectacular, couldn't recommend them enough!Elie really has brought a slice of home here in NZ and coming from an Arab that is saying something.

I hate to be giving a low star rating, but I’m disappointed with the quality and authenticity of the food.First the chicken shawerma: The chicken had a lot of chewy pieces in it. The flavours of the sauces and herbs and pickles used were more suited to a meat shawerma, not chicken (lacking thoum sauce). Also sun dried tomatoes?! I get it. We need to innovate. The bread was pita…which isn’t a deal breaker but the shawerma was too “bready” because of it. It took me 3 bites to get to the contents. They should use the thin flat bread that’s more suited to shawerma (خبز شراك).Then the falafel: it didn’t have anything going for it in the way of herbs, and while the texture was great the flavours weren’t quite there. The dipping sauce was too runny, needed more tahini.The fattoush salad was a bit average too I’m sorry to say.I’m really disappointed to write this review because we need more authentic Middle eastern food in Auckland! I hope the feedback is taken constructively as I’d love to see this place thrive!

The staff were genuinely friendly, offering exceptional service and ensuring that I was well-taken care of throughout my visit. The aroma of spices and grilled meats filled the air, setting the stage for a marvelous culinary experience.The menu boasts an incredible selection of traditional Lebanese dishes, all prepared with the freshest ingredients and the utmost attention to detail. I ordered the chicken schwarma, and it was nothing short of perfection. The tender and juicy chicken was marinated in a divine blend of spices added the perfect amount of tanginess. Paired with a side of perfectly cooked, crisp, spiced fragrant chips it was a meal that transported me straight to the streets of Beirut.I also had the pleasure of trying the baklava, which was truly a work of art. The layers of delicate phyllo pastry, packed with a luscious combination of nuts and syrup, melted in my mouth and left me craving for more.The Lebanese Grocer has become my go-to spot for an authentic Lebanese experience in Auckland. Authentic Lebanese food, very well prepared and seasoned, talented chef spends the time needed to make it right, zesty sauces, the food is a joy to eat.

Was pretty excited to try the shawarma but the Chicken shawarma which was the weekly special was quite disappointing. For $17 shawarma they really need to do better. It was dry and just bland. The Chilli sauce just made it extremely spicy without any flavour.

From the chef of Milenta comes Lebanese grocer what can I say but this place is full of love you can taste it from their food and beverage you can feel it in their service. The ambiance is simple grab and go grocer. Everything was made fresh upon order. The sujuk was so delicious Lebanese coffee and mint tea are a delight. Can't ask for more freshly baked baklava is such a vibe looking forward coming back for more.

LOVE this place!! Best shawarma I’ve had, i usually get the chef’s special because it’s always delicious and interesting. The ba’alawa are also beautiful. And grab some of the house made hummus while you’re there it’s incredible.

The smell of shawarma when you walk into the shop gets the taste buds going.Ordered the chicken shawarma that was delicious but like others say a little small.The falafel however was a big let down. Dry and bland and had the overpowering taste of baking soda.
