It is closed for renovations work, I think later 2019 it will reopened, but poor communication about any information on that

Beautiful historical church located in town. The accoustic is really good for gamelan performance. Once I came to watch Javanese gamelan Padang Moncar performed organized by NZIA and Mayor Andy was there watching too.

A lovely historic wooden Presbyterian church rebuilt in the 1880s after a fire destroyed the original building. St John's is a gorgeous wedding venue and has been an iconic part of Central Wellington for 100s of years. I always look forward to photographing weddings there.
