Stratosfare Restaurant & Bar
Booked buffet lunch as a combo with luge rides. The setting gives a great view of Rotorua, the lake and the surrounding area. The selection of food is amazing and the quality is very good. If one is going for lunch then it is best to skip breakfast. Selection of desserts can be improved and doesn’t befit a restaurant of this calibre. The staff on duty were very helpful. They are appreciative of people with religious dietary restrictions and acted as excellent guides. Price is always a relative issue but for the overall experience it is very very worth it.

Surprise treat from my partner. He thought he was booking Fine Dining" paid extra for window seat The food was what you would expect from a buffet. Service started out okay and then the person looking after our area went on a break. If you are looking for somewhere special with great service

Celebrated my hubby’s birthday in Rotorua and we decided to go with the buffet dinner at Stratosfare. The experience was wonderful. The restaurant was busy on the weekend but well organised. They offered a good selection of food and my mocktail was delicious! Our waiter Terry was amazing..he even organised a surprise card and a happy birthday plate for us. It was a memorable night and we would definitely go back if we visit Rotorua again. ☺️

You pay for the 1 time experience mainly the atmosphere not the food. They offer kids food if you have some picky eaters and high chair is avalible if needed. Good staff's make the lunch baffet more enjoyable good on them.

First time to try their buffet dinner here and we enjoyed our experience. For the price we paid I think it was reasonable enough thinking it included the Gondola ride which was one of the highlights of the experience. Atmosphere was ok, there were a lot of people and kids running around. Views are good, but maybe it was better if we stayed until dark and we might have better views of the city lights. We paid for a premium seat which guarantees us a seat with views but I don't think it would be much different if we chose a normal seating. Food was delicious and had heaps to chose from. In the end we had our bellies full and enjoyed the views. Would recommend to try at least once if around town.

great food and lovely atmosphere. $79pp gondola+lunch. very nice and accommodating staff. mussels+white wine sauce was yum, seafood chef was friendly too.

Went there in march to celebrate my husband’s birthday. You take the cable car with a great view of Rotorua to get there, which is included in the price and for that price (a little bit higher for dinner) you have an amazing and very varied buffet, with aperitifs, entries, a great variety of main courses and desserts. Delicious, we left without being able to eat anymore.The cable car was broken when we tried to get there for lunch, so they moved us for dinner, with a reserved table with great views and brought us an extra beautiful cake to sing happy birthday.Highly recommend it :)

Liked it mostly because we had a gorgeous view of the city while we dined. Compared to other buffet restaurants, this one had a little bit more variety but not as much as I expected. Quality wise, it was pretty good. The dessert selection was okay. Good for special occasions.

The food was delicious, the service was great and we had a wonderful night. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary and the staff made our night extra special even if it was a busy Friday night. Thank you so much, Sharlene, Logan, Zoe, Kaia, Rose, Lily and Ursula.

Stratosfare Restaurant & Bar
Unfortunately, we (a table of 9) didn't find a great selection. We had an evening booking, with a view, most of the food on offer was almost container empty and stations not manned. Cooked Mussels - not much left, no roast pork or lamb, no Yorkshire pudding, I literally had broken biscuits with my cheese empty dish. No Gouda, no variety of cheeses - just roquefort and Camembert. It wasn't value for money. On the upside, the views were spectacular.
