Golden Bay Holiday Park

Absolutely brilliant place, stunning beach, fabulous management who are a credit to the place.Private beach for camp ground guests only, lots to do, lovely family atmosphere and playground for kids!Highly recommend a stay!Thanks Donna and Pete!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Facilities are ok (if you walk 3 minutes to the ones near the beach are better because of studios/apartments near there), but you don't really need much when you go camping. Location is great (with low tide, the beach is very beautiful) and, honestly, best place seen in the whole Golden Bay which, overall, has been rather disappointing. One big con of this place is that there are hippies guys which steal anything not labeled from fridges. Geez... we were cooking at the kitchen, put a moment a wine to cool in the fridge, a hippie dude came along and, like nothing, open the fridge and got our wine. Just wow. Overall I recommend this campsite.

Great hosts, Donna & Pete, welcomed our group and even shared their fishing catch. What a treat! Camping next to the exclusive beach was amazing and the sunrise was unforgettable. Nice and quiet too.

Little more expensive than most for an off season site but facilities are clean & well maintained. Showers & internet are user pays. Great camp if you have a boat & fish, well set up for this.

Whilst initially we had some issues with the booking system, the staff at Golden Bay Holiday Park did some shuffling (Thank you) and eventually managed to book us the beachside appartment.Arriving at the units was a very exciting moment, it is right on the beach with big windows and sliding doors leading to a balcony. First morning went out to have my coffe and the Tui's were singing in the Pohutakawa trees right infront of the beach house - it was a magic morning and an amazing start to the holidays.The apartment has a brilliant layout with everything you need. It is spacious and comfortable - great beds!It is pricey, however holiday season and the location you'd expect that. There were a few very minor things but nothing to detract from our experience.Whilst staying here you must visit Bacca's bakery and the gift shops on the road leading to the camping ground.It was hard to leave and we hope to visit again.

Very clean ,bathroom tiny. False advertising to say dog friendly and then told dogs not allowed in rooms.

This is our go to place when we are in the Golden Bay. It is an awesome place to stay with the ocean literally right on your door step. The staff are so welcoming and have great local knowledge. The facilities are fantastic and our kids just love it. The safe beach, the fairy forrest, the carts ect ect ect.... Looking forward to our next stay :)
