Need the straps of a sundress lengthened and so just resigned myself to a close match to the printed shoe string straps that were already there. Melisiti at the queensgate store asked me to wait an extra day to find something to match but I was astonished by what she did. She found a fine braided trim and used three strands as the extension piece. It looks outstanding and I’m blown away by the thoughtfulness and attention to detail. The dress has been made better rather than just a fix you have to live with. Thanks so much.

if your a girl looking to get your dress altered for a ball or any special occasion let me do you a favor, save you some time and recommend you not go here. I'm sure they're good in other elements but had i known what the outcome of taking my ball dress here was gonna be never would've went there

I had bought a designer tunic made from a sheer silk but tore the material accidentally between the neckline and sleeve before I had even worn it.I took it in to Look Smart Alterations in the Queensgate Mall just as the first runs in the material had begun and tentatively asked Melesete (the Samoan sewer there) if she thought it was fixable. With a big smile she said she thought she could do something with it and to come back in a week. I think I paid about $25.One week later, when I pulled the garment out of the bag , I could hardly believe my eyes! It was perfect ! You would never have known there had been such a terrible run let alone a tear in the fabric! In fact I can’t even tell which side it was on!Melesete has a magic wand I think!A hugely gifted seamstress!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND MELESETE!

One of the worst shops in the mall by a country mile! Took a pair of Levi's Jean's just purchased from the Farmers store there to them to have the legs shortened a little and the older islander lady with poor customer service skills charged me $40 for the privilege... a 3rd of the price of the Jean's themselves. Will not return and absolutely would not recommend! FYI ... I recommend the store in Porirua mall! I bought another pair of the exact same Levi's and the lady there quoted $25 for the exact same alteration.

Appalling service for the price you pay my colleague an I got 4 pairs of trousers hemmed Only to have to take them back because at first they were hand sewen the stitching cane apart went in the owner fixed itThen the other hem came apart again took a 30 minute drive to get them fixed again, but to have to go in a third time shocking an all the owner could say was I fix for you right now missing the whole point of the whole inconvenience of driving back n forth to get the issue fixed 3 times an finally both my trousers are machine sewen now so I shouldn't have this issueBut I won't ever go back or recommend anyone go there . My colleague has been twice already an refuses to go back again. I must say I have had a call from the owner with an excuse of an apology an that she fixed them really ? Still missing the inconvenience part high price to pay for a poor job

Overpriced and doesn’t complete full service that you paid for. I’ve just picked up my pants which I asked to have hemmed and repair seam by the pocket, the hemming has been completed but not the seam fix - ($60!!!). I should have checked before they gave me the pants. Will not be returning, I’ll stick with my usual place which is a lot cheaper and I’ve never had a service missed.

Linh was amazing! I was in a big rush to get my trousers back for an overseas trip. He really went above and beyond !!

This rating is not because of the quality of the job. It is because of the services they provided. I went there with a 20% off voucher from a retail store, and I was told that if I wanted to use the voucher, I had to wait for longer (about 2.5 hours). So I asked what I should do to get the job done faster, and I was told I should pay the whole amount and not use the voucher, which bought me an hour!! I couldn’t rate them in store either, because their rating system comes before the job is done!!

Always professional at your Queensgate store. Melesete is a lovely lady, very welcoming and great at customer service. There was also a young girl there last week who was a great help. I had a coat repaired. My favourite coat too! The repair job was done superbly and within the time I was told it would be done. The shop and staff are a credit to your company

They did a great job sewing patches on our son's karate uniform. It seemed a bit pricey at first but on reflection was probably appropriately priced since 3 other places we tried wouldn't even attempt to sew on the patches! The patches look great- they did an amazing job!
